ABC News' Kate Snow Reports: As news of Sen. Barack Obama's, D-Ill., triumph in the Democratic nomination battle travels across the nation, camp Clinton isn't hearing any of it.
Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., is holding her election night event at New York Baruch College Athletic & Recreation Center in New York -- the first time the candidate has not been in a contested or about to be contested state during the entire primary process.
Other than the fact that we are 2 stories below ground in a cinderblock no-frills gym on Manhattan's Lower East Side, there are also NO televisions.
There have been large screen TV's at every one of Clinton's election night events. Her supporters watch the results come in, they cheer when they're shown on screen.
Tonight, no TV's, cell phones and blackberries don't work down here...no contact with the outside world. People in here cannot see the ongoing countdown clocks on the cable channels. They didn't know when Obama has crossed the threshold.
Because everyone would focus on them.
Back then, they loathed the military and dodged the draft.

Now that they are old and in charge of the government and academe and they are the ones with the millions and the means of production and the desire for power, everyone is supposed to crown them simply when they ask for a crown. How dare anyone challenge them. How dare anyone question what they said yesterday when it differs from what they say today.
As I've also said before, this country is going to go through hell until the last, self-centered Baby Boomer is worm food. Don't get me wrong. Not all Baby Boomers are self-centered. Many or most are not. But there are enough of the “Me” variety to cause a lot of pain for this country until they are good and dead.
Only the future generations can save this country...if we can replace the propaganda they've been getting through academe with the truth about Western Civilization, Judeo-Christian values, Capitalism, rugged individualism and the value of true liberty.
This is testimony to the fact the liberals refuse to face reality and will always try to put off as long as possible the inevitible pain the must face.

If you take the "baby boomer" generation and divide it into older and younger boomers, I am a younger boomer (I was 14 during Woodstock and would never have dreamed of going). I think you are talking about the older boomers because they are so like that. Younger boomers are more conservative, at least as they age. Older boomers seem to be hanging onto their hippie culture by their fingernails. Just my own little theory.

My wife and I are the forgotten generation, born before the selfish self centered Boomers were. We can’t get these A$$holes off the stage.
We know a young female family practice MD, who took over a practice of mainly spoiled Boomers. She quit after 10 months of fighting the entitled ones demanding antibiotics for a cold and whatever other drug they thought they needed. They would get back from a 3 week cruise and not want to pay for their co pay or even an office visit. They would show up without an appointment and demand to be seen before other patients with appointments. The young female MD felt like she needed to wear Kevlar and take a Karate course to handle these arrogant A$$holes.
As you noted there are good boomers and many are on this board.
However as the selfish/entitled aging boomers prepare to destroy our health system, we ain’t seen nothing yet. They wear out their knees and hips with insane running on pavement and want new ones so they can continue to run. They fill that they are entitled to free plastic surgery or any other surgery to make them appear to be younger or feel younger. They demand the most expensive pharmaceuticals and don’t want to even pay a copay if they are covered.
Few in any have purchased long term insurance policies for their aging years and care. They will demand whatever care and expect to get it for free with no copays or cost to them.
Last but not least, their concept of being a good American is hating a strong America, our military, our constitution and what enable them to demand so much for no cost to them.

That's kinda what I've been thinking too, but if the Toesucker is also saying it I'm probably wrong. Morris may have been a savvy political tactician at one time, but here of late his opinions as expressed on Fox News often seem to be way off base. Time will tell.

If it’s not the riots, it’ll be Obama’s policies. We, as a country, are in dire times indeed. No matter if he wins, or loses... There is no way with all this fervor that if McCain wins the people (Dems, and African-Americans) will accept it. They had enough problems with Bush winning - can you just imagine what will happen if McCain beats him?
FEAR is the operative word in this election.
