I receive Col Riley's news letter. I really liked this. Seems like Conservative are ignored and if the RNC and McCain want our vote and/or money, the RNC and others need to listen to us.

I think it is time to start the: CNC
The Conservative National Committee!

If the GOP continues to drift left, my vote will go to Bob Barr. McCain can still salvage conservatism, but I have little faith that he will.

You be “forced to work” and trying to stop a bell that’s already rung if Obie gets in office.

I hear you, but I also don't want to be taken for granted because I will vote against Hussein because I am afraid of the commie/Socialist. I want to be listened to by what I call MY party. I may vote for McCain, but McCain can get the money for his campaign from the people who want open borders and who don't want to drill our own oil.

“Contribute unless you want Obie in office.”
Sorry. The big, bad bogeyman approach isn’t working anymore. The socialism-lite of Sen. McCain is only marginally different from the radical socialism of Sen. Obama. While they may differ in their rhetoric, the final destination is still the same.

John McCain and the RNC doesn’t WANT the votes of the Conservatives or the Christian Right. They are depending on Hillary defectors from the Democrat Party to defeat Obama.
And they might do it, if enough conservatives sell out America and vote for him.

Sounds good to me, but I would give Col Riley credit.

If your statement is true, then it is time for the CNC.

Well I definitely agree about slamming the borders shut. And he’s got to do what the American people want and that is what they want. Problem is, I think McCain will listen to the American people, while Obie will think he knows better than the American people, that is the extreme danger.

He needs to "GET HE HEAD OUT."

RNC is a dead horse. The CNC sounds good to me.

I plan to vote for the most conservative candidate. What everyone else does is their business, but I don’t vote for leftists or traitors to the Constitution.

I agree with the majority of these demands.
However, I’d like to point out the difficulty from a political standpoint with implementing them.
In both the 2000 and 2004 elections the election was about as close as it could get. About 35% of the voters called themselves Republicans and about 35% Democrats.
Today about 42% of likely voters call themselves Democrats and about 32% Republicans. Democrats are jazzed and Republicans are demoralized. If McCain appeals largely to his base, he’s going to be clobbered. His base is just much smaller than Bush’s was.
McCain must appeal to the squishy middle if he is to win. Possibly these demands would accomplish that, but I’m not so sure.
Just because we believe firmly that we are in the right doesn’t necessarily mean most voters agree with us. Unfortunately, the number of votes is all that counts.
