In the case of these 2 illegals the *time* was an eternity.

IIRC, Joe’s neighbors were a Vietnamese family that both their house or business had been robbed several times. It was really putting them in a serious financial bind. Seems there was a lot of crime against Asians in the Houston area at that time.

The two thieves certainly should have asked themselves this question. And I guess they thought it was worth it to risk their lives. Dumb decision.

Sheila Jackson Lee (D) Congresscritter from the Houston area is calling for a congressional investigation of the Harris county criminal justice system. She doesn’t see how a grand jury could’nt charge Horn in this shooting.
I’d like to ask her a few questions about this but I don’t think I could get thru her armed body guards. ;o)

First of all these guys were coming toward Horn and got about 10 feet from him. They veered away at the last second.
Second, in Texas, you can legally use deadly force to prevent someone from leaving the scene with stolen property.
And, they were on Horn’s property when they were shot.

So they were running at him with stolen property in their hands? Then veered and went the other way.
Well, personally I don’t have a huge hangup as to how this turned out, but what I do know for sure is that I wouldn’t want to be put in that situation with a lot of extenuating circumstances.
They also had crowbars.
The burglars had advanced to Horn's property and had refused his order to stop,
