LONDON (Reuters) - Muslims in Britain feel like aliens in their own society and say they are targeted like "the Jews of Europe", the country's first Muslim government minister said.
International Development Minister Shahid Malik painted a bleak picture of the integration of 1.8 million Muslims, three years after Islamist suicide bombers killed 52 people on London's transport system.
The suicide attacks triggered a debate on whether the policy of avoiding imposing a single British identity, and instead promoting a multicultural society, had led to segregation of ethnic minorities.
Malik, who has been the target of race attacks including a firebombing of his family car, said some media coverage "makes Muslims feel like aliens in their own country."
"If you ask Muslims today what do they feel like, they feel like the Jews of Europe," he told a documentary to be shown on Channel 4 television next week, marking the third anniversary of the attacks on July 7, 2005.
"I don't mean to equate that with the Holocaust but in the way that it was legitimate almost -- still is in some parts -- to target Jews. Many Muslims would say that we feel the exact same way."
An ICM survey done for the documentary shows a narrow majority of 51 percent of Britons blame Islam to some degree for the bombings. Eight out of 10 Muslims said they felt there was more religious prejudice against their faith since the bombings.
The issue invariably touches a raw political nerve. In February a leading defence think-tank caused a stir by saying multicultural Britain is an easy target for attacks by militant Islamists because its aims, values and political identity are divided.

Let a muslim start walking through a jewish neighborhood, say in Tel Aviv for example, and a jew start walking through a muslim neighborhood in, say, Paris. Lets see who has the better time of it.
Maybe because it's not their society. Islam and Anglo-Saxon (western) culture are not compatible.
My advice: get over it, and then leave. I'm sure there are places that won't make you feel so alien.
Multiculturalism is society's death rattle.

How do they get to feel like the Jews of Europe? I don’t recall Jews performing honor killings, burning British flags, demanding laws be changed to accomodate them, carrying out terrorists plots against British citizens, holding up signs calling for the destruction of Britian, beating Anglican priests, or calling for national adherence to strict Jewish laws.
It’s very easy to document such cases tied to Islam. Again and again, really.

I’m glad they admit that they agree that Jews are unjustly vilified and attacked.
Muslims have never had a desire to integrate into a society. Their goal is to get sufficient numbers in one area to affect the outcome of local political elections. Once that is done, they begin seeking special dispensation "for religious reasons". Here in Indy, for example, they're trying to get foot baths put in the new airport so the cabbies can wash their feet before prayers. After enough dispensations are won, they force out any non-Muslims from the neighborhood and take it over. From there, the erosion spreads until they can control larger and larger areas, ultimately taking complete control.
Integrate, my a$$...that's never been a goal of theirs in the first place. The fact that they think murdering a few dozen people along the line shouldn't affect their acceptance into society shows just how sick that cult is. Had the majority of Muslims stood up and condemned the 9/11 attacks, perhaps I'd feel differently, but they didn't. I don't believe there is such a thing as a "moderate Muslim".

How many real Jewish Bombings, honor killings and other acts of violence did the Jews do compared to Muslims?
Maybe we ought to circumsize them right at the base of their pudenda making them truly Mohammadan in that they will be eunuchs and it would slove the Mohammadan problem in Europe.

PS... During World War II, the mohammedan b@stards were in bed with the Nazis. The SS Handschar and Skanderbeg Divisions were composed of Muslims who brutally murdered untold numbers of Jewish civilians as part of the Holocaust.

Except for the pogroms, the mass expulsions, the confiscation of property, the laws prohibiting them from owning land or practicing certain professions, the deportations, and the death camps.
Not to mention that the Jews had no country of their own to escape to, and Muslims have 57 Islamic states.

Idiotic. The Jews of Europe did not try to overrun any country. They were singled out for extermination by people who were filled with jealousy for the Jews’ successes and intelligence. This envy allowed a racist like Hitler use the Jews as scapegoats.
OTOH, the Muslims of England came there voluntarily, and if they would assimilate like others from So. Asia, i.e. the Hindus and Sieks of India, there would be no problem.

Just wanted to insure that no one sees this as any sort of insult on Jews. My disdain is solely for the “religeon of peace” and it’s practitioners.
