It is a great movie, and the parallels are undeniable.
Another great movie recently is Iron Man. Also full of commentary on the present war, unafraid to depict Muslim aggression as it is.

Just saw Dark Knight again tonight, and was even more blown away the 2nd time.
You miss alot of dialogue the first time, and this time I could pick up better on the themes discussed in the original post.
