An old political adage says, "He who sets the debate wins the election." If the presidential election was held tomorrow, it would be hello President Barack Obama because, so far, John McCain is handing him a victory.
McCain is better than the campaign he has run so far. Most people admit that McCain is an inspirational figure -- even Obama has admitted that -- so why isn't McCain telling voters where he wants to lead them?

his fiscal conservatism ..
If he is such a fiscal conservative how come he voted against President Bush's tax cuts calling them tax-cuts for the rich?
If he is such a fiscal conservative, how come he support the instituting the Carbon cap-and-trade system that will bankrupt the US while requiring a whole new government agency to administer?
If he is such a fiscal conservative, how come he is bound and determined to legalize the millions of Illegal Alien criminals in our country who will, because they work at minimum wage, sop up billions upon billions of tax-payer taxes in the form of social benefits?
If he is such a fiscal conservative, how come his health plan calls for the Federal Government to subsidize the States so they can provide for health insurance for those who cannot afford it like illegal aliens and others?
If he is such a fiscal conservative, how come his legistlation, McCain-Lieberman, included a 50 cents/gallon tax on gasoline to solve the Global Warming scam?
If you are going to tell a whopper, try and do it to an ignorant audience!

Duncan Hunter is a nativist and NOT a conservative
Is English your first or second language, or is it just basic logic you have troubles with?

I find your relentless attacks on McCAIN only very suspiscious on your real motivations
I find the idea that you are a conservative quite suspicious given your need to attack a poster who is simply telling the truth about McCain.
In case you haven't figured it out already, conservatives deal with the truth, even if it is someone from their party.
They do not take part in 'tribal' politics, or in other words, our guy wrong or right.
We try to make sure our own house is straightened out before we attempt to attack the other guy.

Actually no, but it is a start. Recall 1988....Willie Horton, the Pledge of Allegiance, and Boston Harbor.
It’s too bad that H.W. didn’t actually put building respect for the nation as one of his governing themes...
Salena, you may have some insights on why that campaign fits or doesn’t fit your model...

So YOU ARE SAYING THE TRUTH....!????!
Well ,if you say so...It must be...TRUE...I suppose.
But just take time to think 2 seconds...
I have too much respect for truth(i am a french doctor who studied philosophy and theology ) to use it in unappropriate ways...Dem-libs will also swear they are telling the TRUTH.
BTW i was speaking of your RELENTLESS attacks on McCAIN make you appear as someone motivated by hatred or as a militant of untold causes(OBAMA cause?).
If you were a true conservative looking for truth above all ,i would wait for fair and balanced analysis of the REAL situation of USA and the political stage

This election is a choice about Obam or McCain, even the simple minded one issue idiots or the so called conservative purists should understand that.
