Thank you for the well written research post. I was aware that PG&E had tried to behave more responsibly quite a while ago, and about Willie the whore running shakedown artist, but the details of the leftist Rat operations should always be reviewed for clear thinking.

Thank you for saying so, Navy Patriot. Yes, the data must be reviewed; a chronicle of what has transpired to make "energy" corporations look like thieves, when that is in fact, not the real story. It's a story about Socialists have done to we the people, and to corporations: through regulations, dog/pony shows, protests, aid and abetting by the MSM. The Dems have made Corporations and the People to be viewed as "evil".
Through the years, I've observed PG&E do all within its power to resist the tyranny of the Dems. They can only do so much; the rest is up to the voter citizens.

Is there another power company there you can switch over to?You could install solar panels and sell some electricity back to PG&E's grid on sunny days. The only other option is to move.

Confused.
What has Proctor and Gamble’s profits, divestations, etc. to do with Pacific Gas & Electric supporting Gay Marriage?

...while SoCal Edison continues spamming TV 24/7 with its idiotic environmental wacko ads on "Flex Your Power". The funding for this "Stop Global Warming" globaloney comes from--SURPRISE!--the ratepayers.
Time for a really good class action lawsuit.

The thought the “flex your power” ads I’ve heard were ads by the State.
Now that I look, it seems to be run by something called “The Efficiency Partnership.”
http://www.fypower.org/about/
About Flex Your Power
Flex Your Power is California’s statewide energy efficiency marketing and outreach campaign. Initiated in 2001, Flex Your Power is a partnership of California’s utilities, residents, businesses, institutions, government agencies and nonprofit organizations working to save energy. The campaign includes a comprehensive website, an electronic newsletter and blog, and educational materials. Flex Your Power has received national and international recognition, including an ENERGY STAR Award for excellence.
The campaign’s primary funding comes from the Public Goods Charge as approved by the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), as well as contributing Munis and Partner organizations and companies.
...
The Flex Your Power website is operated under the authority of the “Efficiency Partnership” which is responsible for its original design and content. The site was created for personal and noncommercial use.

"The campaigns primary funding comes from the Public Goods Charge as approved by the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), as well as contributing Munis and Partner organizations and companies."Now, who pays that "Public Goods Charge" and under what legal authority did the completely worthless CPUC act in approving such charge?
My understanding is that this charge is added to utility bills and is paid for by the ratepayers.

This is yet another example of the malicious mischief perpetuated by sanctified "Not For Profit" corporations, partnering up with either "For Profit" corporations or even worse, directly with some pernicious, anti-private sector GovernMental EnvironMental agency to help trash our economy further with the "Global Warming" religious attempt to suffocate it!!!
Any Republican supporting this GANG-GREEN subtrafuge should be stripped of his/her conservative credentials and be subjected to ridicule until drummed out of public life!!!

I hear ya, SW
Just the term “public-private partnership” makes me cringe.
As to stripping Republicans of their conservative credentials, I believe they dis-robe themselves when they support this destructive nonsense.
I was reading part of Prop 10 the other day. I was appalled by all of the money that they felt they needed to spend for “educating” the masses. This leftist propaganda will continue, big time, all at taxpayer expense.

How can we stop the state from funding nonprofit organizations? Serious question.
To: hedgetrimmer; Carry_Okie; ElkGroveDan; calcowgirl
You'd have to ask your County Attorney, or County District Attorney, both of which (supposedly) are supposed to be "the people's attorneys!" (what a laugh!!!)(sorry, I just couldn't resist a cynical comment)
I don't really know the answer, but it's certainly worth looking into. You can sue anybody or anything at any time, whether you have a case or not... So sue the bastards!!!
That might slow them down until "the people's attorneys" advise your elected Board of Supervisors in closed session, on how to beat the people's (your) attorneys!!!
How's that for a serious answer???
