Local Tennessee conservative talker Steve Gill has revealed yet another example of the hypocrisy of the Global Warming fanatics, especially Al Gore. The former veep, who last year was revealed to have a house in Nashville burning many times the electricity of the average American family, has recently bought a huge houseboat to enjoy summer boating in Tennessee. The houseboat that Gore has christened the "Bio-Solar One" (conveniently shortened by Gill to the BS-1) is pictured at this web site (http://www.gillreport.com/dn_archive.php)
Perhaps someone with better editing skills than I have can get the picture and post it here.
From the pictures you can see that despite the "Bio-Solar One" name no solar panels are in evidence and another picture shows the huge, double-wide houseboat plugged into conventional dockside electric outlets. Finally, there are three "eco-friendly" (no doubt) Sea-Doos visible on deck!
We Tennesseans don’t take him seriously. Remember the humiliation we handed him when he ran for president?
That’s only big enough for half his ass.
There’s too much CO2 emissions from that, and the paddle wheel may harm fish and algae.
Well, there is at least 3 of those boats in the pictures at the website.
“I am not surprised to see Al make such a stupid, classless purchase.”
Well it goes good with his fleet of Escalades, and the private jet.
. Chances are this is docked at a private marina,
If the boat is docked at a TVA lake? there would be no private dock.
A group of investors bought a dock on a TVA lake near by. The idiots did not ck. the law regarding private docks on TVA property. The water belongs to the public and, if Al’s’ boat is docked at a TVA lake, I don’t think he could stop any-one from pulling along side.
The BS-1?
You just can’t make this stuff up, folks!
Puns are the lowest form of humor.
Help me.
WOW!!! I have a fiend who sold his house and moved onto a boat a bit smaller and no where near as fancy as that beast. When running it Goreacle must not do much more than three gallons per mile.
I think a water freep would be great!!! “Hey Al... get out of Cheney’s water!” (Note the clever tie in to our virtual fishing trip with the VP)
WAIT! Are you kidding me? Is Gore the idiot that brought us low flow toilets? Do you have any links?
I remember. Has there ever been a candidate for president who failed to carry his own state? Even McGovern carried SD and Dukakis carried the People's Commonwealth.
The classic would be to surround the BS Gore with rainbow canoes and rainbow kayaks, proclaiming yourselves as Greenpeace's rainbow fleet, protesting the carbon waste of Algore, and getting the media to film it.
Possible episode confusion, but didn’t Jabba the Hut reside in a home or lair of some sort in Empire Strikes Back, then move into a hovering barge in Return of the Jedi?
I have a 17 foot canoe, I actually feel more at home in this craft than my other boat!!
It’s a very stable boat, and I have a trolling motor and marine battery to make it move on when needed.
I could paint it (it needs painting anyway) with Greenpeace themes, and run it up to the dock to protest. Of course, I don’t want to get shot by secret service guys, so I could hold up a white flag to surrender when they come after my canoe.
Dang, I would hate to have my canoe confiscated, if the high and mighty decide we underlings would compromise the great one.
I guess I could sacrifice this for my country.
I rented a houseboat on Dale Hollow Lake on the TN KY border two years ago.
The guy that rented the boat mentioned that Al rented one earlier in the year and that he was a total Adam Henry to the staff. Typical elite turd.
Or it could be like they say Center Hill. 70 miles east of Nashville means The Cumberland Mountain Range. They take off toward Chattanooga from our area. There's some ranges in the Plateu that seem to look pretty darn high looking from the bottom up.
Any lakes above Knoxville would land lock him. From Knoxville on downstream he can go to the Gulf through locks. I'm on dial up so I didn't see the video though. One other possibility too. Tellico Lake is closer than Douglas to the mountains and lot of big money boats down there plus a short hop over to the airport.
In whose opinion? My mother LOVED puns and taught me to do the same!! I think there is more creativity, thought and intelligence in puns than in what passes for "comedy" these days.
After all, how many times can you use George Carlin's "7 words" in a comedy routine and still have it be funny?
But, puns?? No two are alike and each is deliciously sublime!!
