This registration document, made available on Jan. 24, 2007, by the Fransiskus Assisi school in Jakarta, Indonesia, shows the registration of Barack Obama under the name Barry Soetoro into the Catholic school made by his step-father, Lolo Soetoro. We have a private but Catholic church related school down the street. I'd say most of the students are Moslems.

They don't ask the "citizenship" question so the wealthier illegal aliens from South Asia send their kids there.

Makes me wonder why a Catholic school in Indonesia would ask the "citizenship" question. That's so terribly "un Catholic".

You and I have tangled over this issue before and you’re being obstinate refusing to see the main issue.

Obama has tried to hide his past. The majority of Americans don’t really care about his childhood - in Indonesia, as a Muslim, dual passports - but they do want someone who trusts them enough to be honest and TELLS THE TRUTH!

Would all those things hold for a registration form for a private school? Wouldn’t the school set the rules on how to fill out their own form? I don’t know, I’ve only been a Catholic my whole life.

It was a private school run by the Church, but Muslim students received Islamic religious instruction.

Obama/Soetero was pulled out of this school and placed in a “public” school later when his step-father deemed that he wasn't receiving enough instruction in Islam. He even took Koranic studies in Arabic, something very few Indonesian Muslim students do.

Sounds very South Asian ~ the more modern system used in nearby Malaysia was preceeded by a manual system that required printing, every item with an entry, any error corrected on the form, etc.

The "more modern system" is a data base without a file of actual source documents. Kind of like almost all the systems in the US.

So, I concur in the thought that the Indo form is real, possibly, but the contents were concocted by a mischiefmaker.

It might be un-Catholic but it is terribly Indonesian. Not odd at all. It would be odd if they didn’t ask. Origin is very important to them.

Just like Ceacilia, Mrs Is also admitted that Barry attended Catholic lessons at school. “It was compulsory for every student. However, he also often went to a musalla (Islamic room set aside for prayers) near his house as Barry’s (step)father was a Muslim,” she added (Barry’s house was also located in Hj Ramli Street, where Assisi Primary was).

Barry Soetoro enrolled in that school for only two years. SatinDoll, you are still attempting to hold a man accountable for details of his childhood which he only knows vaguely ~ and most of those details involve items for which there's simply no one available (or alive) to verify them.

Hold him accountable for his adult life ~ not his childhood.

If you are assuming that Cantor has dual citizenship because he's Jewish, that's incorrect. The vast majority of Jews, myself included do NOT carry dual citizenship.

Yes. The form looks real to me, but the filling it out doesn’t.

Forms do change, even in Indo, but it just doesn’t “feel” right to me. I’d want to exam it closer.
