But "Obama" told the Attorney Registration & Disciplinary Commission of the Supreme Court of the State of Illinois that he had never had another name:

Chasing rainbows are we. What was the haloed one 6, 7 years old when he was enrolled? He didn’t enroll himself. My mother could have enrolled me as John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt in first grade and I’d never know if she changed it back later. Let’s stick to his record, his proposals, his gaffes, and his arrogant sense of entitlement.

To me, the issue isn't so much that he was a practicing Muslim in his youth (though by most accounts loosely and intermittently at best). As others have pointed out, he was honest about that in his autobiographical book, though he only briefly touched on it.

The issue is that his campaign now stoutly maintains that he was NEVER a Muslim. From his famous 'fightthesmears' web site:

Senator Obama has never been a Muslim, [and] was not raised as a Muslim

We know from his autobiography and from scores of articles about his mother that she was an agnostic at best. If he was not a Muslim, the form would have said "none". It doesn't. It is possible that his stepfather registered him as a Muslim on his own initiative. But Lolo Soetoro was described as "much more of a free spirit than a devout Muslim, according to former friends and neighbors" in this Chicago Tribune article.

The same article goes on to describe the Muslim school as being "a public school, so progressive that teachers wore miniskirts and all students were encouraged to celebrate Christmas." But this would probably have been the norm in urban Indonesia at that time, where the Islam practiced by most was extremely moderate.

Nevertheless, the point remains: he was for all intents and purposes a Muslim at this one point in his life - and yet his campaign now says he was never a Muslim.

This sounds like the most plausible situation befitting the the Senior Barack’s lifestyle. A roving sperm-depositer who impregnates and moves on to satisfy his personal ambitions and lust for flesh. Stanley Ann fell quickly in love with a much older “sophisticated exotic socialist African college-man.” Barack Senior took advantage of an under-age white American girl. And I wonder how many other girls as well?
Is there any proof he hung around after the affair? Are there photos, records, or letters that keep him in any contact with the Dunhams besides the airport photos a decade later?

I posted a poll asking if Barry Soetero had legally changed his name back to Barack H Obama. I asked that because if he had not done so legally, his being on the ballot would have to be voided because he would not be legally entitled to be if his true legal name is something other than Barack H Obama. Has anyone found when and where he made the LEGAL name change back to Barack Obama?

reverted or legally changed his name back to Barack Obama? I ask this question because if he was legally adopted and the name changed on adoption, he is legally known by that name until it is legally changed back.
