My score of 53 shows I’m homophobic, but I am not. I have no fear of homosexuals, I just disapprove of their way of life. The closest thing to a phobia I have is of wasps.

Now, I deliberately maxed out the questions, shooting for 100% - it did NOT allow a perfect score. You either maxed out as a 92, or bottomed out as an 8.
This test grades you not on your homophobia but on the strength of your heterosexuality.
Do you really want to “FReep” this poll? There are obviously people here who don’t mind bragging about how much they hate homosexuals but that stuff belongs in the privacy of your living room or back porch and not in a public forum or on a survey where PBS can track the participants back to this site.

Bingo!. I'm also usually pretty reluctant about taking these surveys since there will always be a number of questions which are unclear or ambiguous. For example on this one:
6. I make derogatory remarks about gay people.
I have, and I do, but not because they're gay. If they're heterosexual and making out in the street wearing leather thongs and pink latex halter tops I'd make the very same disparaging remarks. I've also probably made derogatory remarks about closeted gay people, but the remarks had nothing to do with their gayness. Likewise, I may have just as easily paid them the highest of compliments and have held them in the highest of regards...so if I take the question literally, I would have to answer 1 - strongly agree. If however, as I suspect, the developer of the questionnaire intended the question to be a guage of antipathy toward all homosexuals, I think my true thoughts and feelings on the matter would rate a 4-5.
“Freep a survey” is the way I put it and just for fun as u said. I’ll try for high score and low score myself!

Phobias are based in fear, and since I haven’t met a homosexual that I couldn’t take in a fair fight (except Rosie O’d, that is) I’d say my feelings have nothing to do with a “phobia”.
