>>>In general, FR has not shown a great deal of pleasure when Romney gets close to any kind of nomination
>>>I’d be part of that in general population.
I can’t stand romney.
But, legitimately... who else? Who else that would be willing?
I think Bobby Jindal would make a good VP, but he’s not interested.
Too bad we don’t have a conservative running, like Duncan Hunter. Oh well, this is what happens when you let the MSM choose the GOP candidate.
“What confidence we might have had that he would pick good Jurists would also be destroyed by a Pro-Abort VP pick.”
Exactly.
imo, picking an originalist judge is the most important issue of all, because it affects everything else.
The GOP doesn’t care about conservatives anymore to begin with. Not true conservatives, anyway.
Check the tag line.
Here’s an interesting scenario - what if McCain chooses a pro-choice VP, but the GOP convention rejects him? There’s no rule that requires the delegates to formally approve the candidate’s choice and I could see some sort of scenario where a pro-choice VP candidate is put into nomination, rejected, and then McCain chooses a more acceptable candidate. How much would it hurt McCain for merely having selected a pro-choice candidate?
Your tagline has truth in it, although I believe true conservatives are the ones with the TRUE power. They just need to realize it and exercise it.
Generally, by the time of a convention, the parties have had months to get used to the eventual nominee. This year, many conservatives have not cozied up to McCain, and Hillary kept the battle going on for months.
Anything could happen.
I don’t think so.
