Aug 29th, 2008 (Boca Raton, FL.) – Lt Col. Allen West (Ret.) announced today that he strongly congratulates Senator John McCain for choosing Governor Sarah Palin of Alaska as his pick to be the next Vice President of the United States of America.
Below is LTC. Allen West’s entire statement:
Governor Sarah Palin is a principled reformer of the wasteful policies that characterizes Washington. Governor Palin’s personal and professional background is an honest testament to her conservative values. Hers is not a record of hype – but of action. She has a record of fiercely battling special interests and political entitlement, and a record of strong bi-partisanship to get the job done. As John McCain said when he introduced Sarah Palin to us all, “She stands up for what’s right and doesn’t let anyone tell her to sit down.”
Governor Palin’s deep knowledge and experience with oil and energy issues will be a tremendous asset in the new administration, which recognizes that a comprehensive reform of energy policy is absolutely paramount to achieving national security.
Sarah Palin has always governed in the interests of all people, not just the ones who are politically expedient to her. I am very pleased to see the party that ended slavery will also be the first party to nominate a woman to the Office of the Vice Presidency. She will make history when she becomes the first female Vice-President of the United States, she is a true leader we can respect and admire.

Everyone needs to donate to Colonel West. Any amount will do. I do not even live in his state but I have donated more to him than any other politician so far this year.
What a great day! And let us not forget that the new administration will need support in Congress from fine new members like LTC West. The top of the ticket is set. Let’s get to work on the coattails!

Yes, you are correct. Try to remember that West is not as old as some of us old farts are. West had barely 20 years of service when he was hijacked by the stupid Div CG and his JAG in 2004. That tells me he entered the Army about 1984. I do not know the date he was born.

LOL I didn’t even know about Ferraro until today. She was nominated back when I paid no attention to politics. I just happened to see her on Fox as I was channel surfing this afternoon. I wouldn’t have known it either otherwise.
