Obama's really going to knock it out of the park when he gives his speech at Invesco Field.

As soon as Obama gives that speech, it's all anyone will talk about all weekend. McCain is toast.

LOL

Yep, I was just looking at that and Gallup's poll is a 3 day rolling average, Wed. through Fri. Zogby is one day covering Fri afternoon to Saturday afternoon and is an interactive poll.

I put no credence in either poll. We need to wait a week or two.

That the media is pushing/asking this question is more evidence how manipulative the media is.

Even though Palin has more executive experience than Obama, Hillary, and Biden combined, did the media ask this question about their qualifications? Hardly.

It’s really disgusting.

why are the Dims in panic mode over the Palin pick?

The panic, of course, is because Obama-Biden now has a greater chance at losing than before Palin was announced as the VP nominee by McCain.

But, the panic is about a much larger and much more dangerous reason for the democrats.

The biggest fear that the democrats are feeling right now is that, if McCain-Palin win this November, the democrats will be doomed for at least the next 12 years, and possibly the next 16 as far as the presidency is concerned. Thus, if McCain becomes president, he'll be in for at least the next four years. If he doesn't go for a second term, Palin will be virtually unbeatable in 2012. If McCain stays and runs again in 2012 and has done a good job in the preceding 4 years, then Palin will be even more experienced and even more unbeatable in 2016 and the republicans will have owned the white house for 24 years in a row. Thus, the democrats have a very big reason to panic.

Palin’s age, experience and performance exceed the oppositions chief.

what they market is THEIR hype

I love that expression... we can take Madeline from behind the barn, put her in a wig, give her lipstick, rouge, parfume, hose, skirt and high heels .... but at the end of the day we know its just Madeline

Anyone can sugar coat anything

UTICA, New York - Republican John McCain’s surprise announcement Friday of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate - some 16 hours after Democrat Barack Obama’s historic speech accepting his party’s presidential nomination - has possibly stunted any Obama convention bump, the latest Zogby Interactive flash poll of the race shows.

The latest nationwide survey, begun Friday afternoon after the McCain announcement of Palin as running mate and completed mid-afternoon today, shows McCain/Palin at 47%, compared to 45% support for Obama/Biden.

This poll was taken Wed. through Friday and mostly through the Rat festival and less than a day after McCain announces Palin.
By the end of next week it will be basically tied if it isn't already.

Gov. Palin is the only candidate with executive experience.

You have to understand: Fox is owned by Rupert Murdoch; he puts his finger to the wind and goes with the tide. He endorsed the foul fool Jimmy Carter and the phony Tony Blair. He apparently still thinks Obama will win, so he’s hedging his bets. Note that Fox was only “fair and balanced” when GW Bush was president and could do facors for Mr. Murdoch.

If OB loses, the blacks are going to blame it on the whites in the Dem party for not supporting blacks during crunch time. They will take OB loss very personally. I think many will be so disgruntle they would not bother voting in the future if the Dems nominate a white candidate. I think the Dems know that, and nominating OB opens up this problem, thus losing is not an option for the Dems unless they are willing to lose black support in future elections.

Compare her background to that of President Grover Cleveland.

— Elected Sheriff of Erie Co., NY, in 1870 for a 4-year term. Goes back into private law practice at the end of the term.

— 1881, elected as mayor of Buffalo

— 1882, elected as governor of New York

— 1884, elected to the presidency

Democrats should just shut up about Palin’s “Grover Cleveland” problem...

I can't stomach Fox anymore.

I'm hoping stuff like this is simply laziness and not signs that FNC is being assimilated into the Liberal Media collective.

People not knowing whether or not she is qualified and deciding she definitely isn’t are two different things. Another editorialized article parading as news.

Palin has a history of success defeating and proving wrong those who have underestimated her.

So how does Gallup show Obama up by 8 and Zogby with McCain up by 2?

"Obama Expands Lead"
"...another Gallup poll shows Barack Obama maintaining an 8 percentage point lead..."

Expands, or just maintains? It's two articles in one!

Can someone clean that up? I'm trying for a silver "Jesus Fish" look, but I don't have the software tools to do it...

Cheers!
