Also leaders of our local pro-life group...their teenage son & his girlfriend became early parents...

..The headmaster of our local Christian school (an exemplary family with lovely children) had to deal with the rebellion of their firstborn in too early sex with another kid in school.

don’t assume that to be an answer. You don’t know what their religious belief are. As a Catholic we teach NFP which is far beyond the old rythm method they used to teach. So its not about teaching birth control

For the same reason that (except for Gustav) this news has dominated the internet). It would have been a distraction off of Palin, the candidate and onto her daughter. There is a time for everything and that was not the time. The girl is not a criminal, she is carrying a baby.

As the mother of an 18 year old son, who has been dating his girlfriend for more than a year, I think about this every single month! I know we raised him right, with our values, but once they fall in love their hormones tend to take over their brains. I am not naive, yet I hope and pray every day that he establishes himself in life, gets married, and then has a baby. If that day does come, however, I will handle it in the same ways that the Palins are handling this true gift from God. And anyone that would handle it any different are the ones that need to look very deeply into their souls about what a true family really is.

By condemning this girl and saying that they will not vote for mcCain/Palin.
