Governor Palin had a priori knowledge that the baby had certain challenges, so I am puzzled as to why you termed it as a ‘high risk’ pregnancy. Are you implying that it was high risk because there was no attending physician? If so, you should be aware that babies are born naturally (only abortions really require medical ‘help’) all over the world.
I am a man, but somehow seem to remember that the water does break before the delivery. I also seem to remember that a baby eventually ensues. It must be a very difficult notion for most atheists to comprehend, but that appears to be the Divine plan.

The risk of Down’s Syndrome increases sharply as a woman’s eggs age. She and Mr. Palin were simply unlucky enough to have a chromosomally damaged egg fertilize. All I said was a person like Alan, not that his Judaism has anything to do with it. He’s not even sincere, he’s probably an agnostic who just doesn’t have the balls to admit to the world he doubts anything. It certainly doesn’t affect the kind of person he is.
And I never said I agreed with what happened, I just can see how people came to dislike a whole group of people on the basis of a few bad apples. I mean come on, would you think a thirty year radio veteran decade long TV broadcaster would go to these lengths to discredit a VICE presidential candidate? Yeah, she’s got a small resume, but thats pretty immaterial when you look at the top of the ticket on the other side who’s never balanced a budget or vetoed a proposal in his life, or made a cabinet appointment, etc.

1) Children with Down syndrome possess an extra chromosome. Prenatal care has precisely nothing to do with the presence of this extra chromosome. Your attempt to tar Sarah Palin as responsible for her youngest son’s chromosomal abnormality is base.

Hey Roger, considering this is the second nominee and within 48 hours you are focusing on the issue of her own personal pracices conerning pregnancy health do you think that doesn’t risk being a little, maybe, sexist?
Can you cite one instance in history where the medical practices of a male candidate were questioned? The only thing close I can think of was Eagleton’s dismissal for recieving electroshock therapy for depression, although that concerned the type of treatment rather than method. Seriously, you seem to be saying she’s a woman who’s irresponsible with her own body (if you’re a liberal and refuse to recognize that brainstem with a beating heart and respirating lungs that can suck its own thumb is very much alive). Alan, this post really sinks to a new low. If Ms. Palin consulted by phone with her obstetrician, and then followed his advice, what business is it of yours or anyone else’s? Doctors only become concerned about the possibility of infection if labor doesn’t start within 24 hours after the water breaks. How do I know this? I am an obstetrical RN.
The truth is, you and your liberal friends are looking for any possible avenue to attack Sarah Palin. This story looked like a good way to try to paint her as irresponsible. It is also pretty vile, but that sort of thing from the Left has ceased to surprise me.
As an RN, and the sister of a man with Down’s syndrome, I’d advise you to look elsewhere. All this is going to do is enrage women, and other persons of decency, everywhere.

Down’s Syndrome is a chromosomal abnormality, occuring at the genetic level and is not the result of any possible harm that may have happened to the baby while still in the womb. Before you go about pushing such a ridiculous , half-baked idea again, make sure you get your facts straight.

Down’s is present from the moment the egg is fertilized. It has been standard procedure in this country to test the amniotic fluid for Down’s for more than TWO DECADES.

Is it Bristol’s Baby?
It has been reported that Sarah Palin’s fifth and most recent baby is really her teenage daughter’s child. Trig Palin was born on April 18, 2008. What’s odd about this is that Sarah Palin, governor of Alaska and now the republican Vice Presidential nominee, waited until March 5th, 2008 to announce to the media that she was 7 months pregnant. Palin was 44 at the time of the announcement. While Sarah Palin did not appear pregnant in any recent photographs, pictures of the family during the time of the pregnancy have surfaced which show Bristol with what appears to be a “baby bump”.
To add to the drama surrounding this birth, Students who have attended classes with Bristol Palin at an Anchorage high school report that she had been out of school for months, claiming a prolonged case of mono. The announcement came as quite a shock to people who had worked closely with Governor Palin. Some have been quoted as saying that she did not appear pregnant whatsoever during the prior 7 months.
Adding even more fuel to the fire, the Alaska Department of State has now taken down all the photos of Sarah Palin and her family from their website. Word of the pregnancy scandal is spreading around the Internet like wildfire. According to one source, people “in the know” from Alaska are stating it is true, and that Sarah Palin hid her daughter’s pregnancy. And that the child, Trig Palin, might actually belong to her daughter, Bristol.
So, is Trig Palin really Bristol Palin’s baby? Did Governor Sarah Palin cover up for Bristol Palin? Was Bristol Palin Pregnant and did she give birth to Trig Palin? Why does this matter? Because Sarah Palin is now the presumptive Republican nominee for Vice President of the United States of America. She is not only a pro-life advocate, she is an abstinence only proponent which means if her 16 year old daughter Bristol Palin was pregnant, her message simply doesn’t work! So, was Bristol Palin Pregnant? You decide. The image below tells quite a story!

Seems as though she needs to spend more time being a mom and less time being a politician if her own daughter was getting knocked up at the tender age of 16. You need to educate your kids about sex. It also shows that John McCain made one more bad decision in a long string of bad decisions.
