ST. PAUL - The hospitality at the Republican National Convention at the Xcel Energy Center is decidedly chilly, thanks to an air conditioning system that has reporters layering jackets to ward off the Alaskan-type temperatures inside the GOP's convention hall.

"We are just getting to ready to have a hockey game just as soon as you folks leave here," said Dale, an usher wearing shorts and completely unaffected by the well below comfortable temperatures in the convention hall.

Tell me about it. My office is next door to a TV station. The problem is leftist TV news reporters won't tell you how cold their broadcast studios are, but they'll definitely tell you how cold a Republican convention is in order to imply that Republicans don't care about the carbon footprint of the convention and its effect on "global warming".

I wonder, is there another one showing Obama and Biden? There should be. Oh my, McCain hugging the President. There might even be a pic somewhere of Obama shaking his hand at a SOTU. But John didn't choose George as a running mate; he went for REAL change. Barack chose Joe. There's not an ounce of change in that.

Maybe we can get a sound truck playing Obama's clip about taking the high road. That is a DNC billboard, not a third party. Maybe Barack can show some of that executive expertise of his and tell his people to stick to his pledge.
