This Labor Day Weekend was different in Olney. It seemed that we got more waves and honks than other Saturdays. Maybe our supporters were buoyed by our troops’ successes in Iraq, maybe it was McCain’s announcement of Sarah (In 2012) Palin as his VP, maybe they were just glad to see us on the corner while so many were thinking only off a 3 day weekend.
No matter, it was a very good day to be supporting our troops.
The list of 11 patriots taking time out from the holidays to support our troops were once again, 3 WWII Legionnaires Glenn (USMC), Dave (Army), Francis (Army), our 2 Korean War vets, Halsey (USMC), Frank (Army) and FReepers and Lurkers - Lurker Bill, Cindy_True_Supporter, Eager, Jimmy Valentines Brother, [Mrs] Trooprally, aka [Mrs] T, and myself, [Mr] T.

And there was a lot going on around this GREAT Country. Our FRiends at REDLANDS, CA started the weekend off last Friday. FReeper Victory Rocks and another local support, Kelly, were there with FReeper SHATNERFAN1706 helping out.
And on Monday, in St. Paul, FAMILIES UNITED had their Support the Troops Rally.
The Walter Reed and Westminster FReeps have yet to be posted but keep an eye out for them.

As always, the D.C. Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect. Briefly, they are: No violence, no profanity, no racism, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.
But a lot of verbal engagement in Olney is always welcome.
