So when my son runs for president in 2036 (first eligibility - born 2000), can we borrow those columns?

Thanks for the link. On an odd schedule (I usually work nights) I slept late on my night off and the first thing I came to FR for was to read Palin’s speech. Right now I waiting to see the speech on tv.

I have been saying for months that I didn’t see a future “Reagan” for this country. I was wrong. I have seen a potentially great President tonight whether McCain wins or not. She is amazing, lets hope she has the strength of character to stay that way in the face of the amazing pressures that are coming her way.

This was one of the best speeches I have ever heard. I loved how Sarah NAILED Obama to the floor, and with a smile. I've never been this excited about an election since - well, forever for me! I sure hope people heard enough tonight to want to get to know her better. I know I loved her speech, but then I already kind of know her from reading so much! LOL

I know from listening to all the pundits on TV that she did an EXCELLENT job - even if they aren't saying so, you can tell this freaked out the liberal leaning media establishment. The anchors from the Jim Lehrer News Hour on PBS were very complimentary towards her performance. Saying things like I expected her to do well but she exceeded my expectations, etc... etc... I think that's going to be a common theme in the weeks to come -- they have woefully underestimated her, and they will be sorry for that!

One line the democrat talking head media will be desperate to bury;

Sarah Palin is as Jason Bourne to Maggy Thatcher's James Bond.

In a head to head brawl, Bourne could beat the snot out of Bond.

Sarah Barracuda for Prez. Start cranking out the bumper stickers.

I hope someone pings me when the “best of” thread is created.

Are Cooper & crew crying yet?

Totally exciting to hear the sword of truth easily slicing through the pc b.s. (abortion “rights” ???). I had to thank God for preparing this candidate - Sarah Palin is solid. Wow!

Indeed, they are going to be coming after her unlike anything we’ve seen yet.

That was about my favorite, too, but there were so many gems in that speech, it was completely thrilling!

Let us not forget to thank John McCain by our support and our contributions for bringing this star into our focus; let’s NOT forget his self-confidence in picking someone who brings such excitement to the ticket, who has chosen wisely and well!

Let us continue to hold our ticket leaders and their families up in prayer, safe from the screaming demons of the left and the media. If this week has done anything for John McCain, I hope it has shown him how utterly craven his former “friends” in the media and politics truly are, and how much his wisdom and genuine leadership is appreciated (and needed) by his true friends on the right.
