Ok HUNDREDS of dollars on slumber parties? I had plenty of slumber parties and birthday parties and never came close to spending hundreds of dollars. And these people are trying to tell the rest of us what to do with our money, tax dollars and not to go work for corporate jobs? Hypocrites of the first order!!! It’s Jesus birthday not Santa. I hate how Christmas has turned into Santa and the holidays bull!!!!!!

It just scares me that the Dems have their sheeple (NEA, unions) that just march in and vote as instructed. I actually heard good news on that front. My ex is a Teamster and used to be the lone conservative voice. He said this time his work group is split about 50/50 over McCain and Obama. His brother, who has voted D for years, might be voting for McCain, too. This is in the Peoples Republic of Washington state. Generally, however, I am scared of the tactics they will pull to win this, including the dead, illegals, etc. I remember when they were giving cartons of cigarrettes to bums to get them to vote D.

Definitely encouraging! I am reminded of Hugh Hewitt's book: If it's not close, they can't cheat! Let's hope it's not close!!

I saw a repulsive post on Daily Kos while looking at the past weeks Sarah Palin attacks there. It basically said that "rumors and lies and taking things out of context is necessary if it makes even one person hesitate to pull the level for McSame."

I think this is the post you're referring to (It's from DU):

NoodleyAppendage (1000+ posts) Sat Aug-30-08 10:26

122. What many here don't understand. It doesn't matter if it's true or not. RUMOR IS TRUTH.

The modern laws of media hype and political warfare have a useful tenet:

Repeat ANYTHING or raise false concern over ANYTHING and it is likely to be planted in the conscious/subconscious of many voters.

If people start to think that there might be something fishy with Palin's last kid (if hers), then that's FINE. One more doubt (whether tied to reality or not) is another hesitation at the ballot box.

GET WITH THE PROGRAM PEOPLE. The "rising above it" bullshit has served us so well in the past, hasn't it?

If you have problems with the story, then STFU and get out of the way of Dems who are engaged in MODERN POLITICAL WARFARE. Go tend your garden or some other pedestrian task, because the "concern trolls" are not helping shape the message.

Scary that I see some posts here that sound strangely similar.

If he were to be a Muslim, that fact should go unnoticed in this republic

You really think so? We are in a war with radical muslims. Do you really think the American people should be ok with a muslim in the oval office? Amazing.

“I think he may be a model of what the anti-Christ will be, but no I don’t think he is.”

I have said this from the beginning, He is not the Antichrist but he without a doubt has the spirit of Antichrist in him. And it does show how quickly the real thing can enter the World Stage when he does come, and how unknowingly the World will welcome him.

agree with all of that

He might not be , he might have been but he does seem to have a connection to it in some way shape or form.

When you put all the things together, him dressed up as one, him saying the prayer in Arabic
him saying it is a beautiful sound hearing it
him saying about 57 states
him being moved to Indonesia, what did he do there, what school did he attend, I mean after all his father took him there because his father was a devote muslim
and now this.

there is a connection here most certainly, all of these signs cannot be ignored

Very good, StAn.
I see Obama was trying to formulate an attack on Fox News, most likely in response to being O’Reilly’ed last Thursday, and then he tried to slam Governor Palin in the same breath, but Stephy wants him to just answer the question.

He was tripped up because Stephy wouldn’t allow him to “soundbite” the question to death. He wanted an answer.

That’s when Obama tripped up and identified his Muslim faith.

Also, I don’t really think this is going to have any impact on his campaign. Heck, even if he came out and said he was a Muslim, I doubt that it would affect his loyalists or, for that matter, most of the country.

It does. Literally everybody I have talked to in the past year say they are afraid that he is a muslim. It is a huge issue.

You are probably right, but this indicates to me that, at worst, Obama cannot effectively communicate with a script.

I’ve since found a longer version. I think what he said is fairly legit. The Republicans would be fools to try to make hay out of this.

I can be objective enough to say that this is not a damning video and that we shouldn’t make a big deal out of it, but I can’t be objective enough to think that he is a good Christian.

There are too many other smoking guns: Jeremiah Wright, the reputation of the church he attended for 20 years, his early childhood education. I need a LOT more information for me to shake the idea that he has any sort of mainstream Christian views. I’d like to be convinced, but the fact that he has tried to distance himself from Wright and has been pretty secretive about many facets of his past fail to convince me of his Christianity or his sincerity.

You don’t bring a knife to a gunfight, pal. The left has been engaging in one giant smear campaign against Palin, and they have asked for it.

A lofty campaign debating the issues is the ideal, but if you let the other side win by going down with the ship that was torpedoed by smears, all you have done is drowned.

We should debate the issues, because I think conservatives are right on the issues. We shouldn’t engage in the same sort of smears that the left does.

This gaffe is not part of Obama’s private life, his family and it isn’t a baldfaced lie.

We’ll get the leadership we deserve if we are bullied into accepting the attacks of our enemies without hitting back...not on the level of our foe, with lies and the trashing of the innocent. If Obama publicly hands us a cudgel like this and we disdain to use it, then we deserve to lose.
