"Due to overwhelming viewer demand, an encore presentation of '102 Minutes that changed America' will have an encore presentation Sunday evening Sept. 14, at 8 pm/7 Central"
This was a message displayed Saturday night while watching another program.
A prize-winning classinc, not to be missed by any American who lived through those historic 48 hours. The first presentation on 9/11 snuck up on me, and I recorded it. Many others missed it entirely.
I am calling family and friends.
Highly recommended.

It WILL happen again.
When it DOES happen, WHO do you want as Commander in Chief in that kind of a crisis?
Bush has been in there nearly 8 years and we have been SAFE. There have been NO successful attacks. Even an idiot must realize that attacks have been tried and thwarted. br>
Endless diplomacy, empty threats, making friends with the enemy and endless sanctions don't work on people that are unreasonable. Destroying America is part of the RELIGION of terrorists because we are not Islamists and against their BELIEF to submit to their way of life.
bttt
I saw that the other evening. Hard to watch.
I for one know I can never forget.
But memories fade, and PC takes on a life of its own. Strange things result.
When this documentary was first shown a few days ago, that I was "mesmerized" is not too strong a word for the effect it had on me.
It was like reliving the entire experience, with all the accompanying emotions and, although it lasts two hours, I was on the edge of my seat the entire time.
This true documentary, the first I have seen in years from any source, will be a permanent awards-winning record of the terrorist crime.
Thanks for posting this reminder.
Time to adopt a W.W.II WIN strategy -- and that includes the fact that any president who worries about harming enemy civilians more than about winning the war to protect U.S. citizens DOES NOT belong in the White House.
Reported US attack pushes Afghanistan war into Pakistan
Another thing I'd like to see added to the WIN strategy is that the fleets of luxury jets used by wealthy supporters of radical Islamists all develop the explosive center fuel tank problem. That includes leaders of countries supporting radical Islamists -- "Americans" supporting radical Islamists should also face deadly risks owing to their part of the war against America. I am sure that the feds know who they are. I do not.
W.W.II-style win the damn war! will increase the risks here in the States.
How can we citizens send the few, the brave, the best off to fight for Our Country in an endless war and we refuse to put ourselves at risk for America?
You are right it is very hard to watch, especially when when home video caught people jumping out of the Towers. All the more reason for people to watch and remember what happened.
I watched it the other night and found myself saying “Noooooo, don’t go in” everytime they showed a line of firefighters gearing up and walking toward the buildings.
Very hard to watch but I’m glad that I did. I didn’t want to forget.
I can't, and don't, ever watch reality shows that revels in reality injuries and deaths. I simply can't.
But I force myself to see the worst single mass murder in history, and wish I could see more.
I need to reinforce, daily, the reality of the depth of barbarity and murderous tendency of the muslim culture.
I eat people who are blind to it for breakfast.
However, I can highly recommend 9/11:
Originally broadcast on CBS in March 2002, 9/11 is an extraordinary record of that fateful day in New York City. This one-of-a-kind documentary was originally conceived as a portrait of 21-year-old Tony Benetatos, a firefighter trainee at Manhattan's Duane Street firehouse, located seven blocks from the World Trade Center. By the time filming was finished, brothers Jules and Gedeon Naudet had captured history in the making, including the only image of the first jetliner striking Tower 1, and the only footage from within the tower as it collapsed. This is not, however, a film about the murderous nightmare of terrorism. It's the ultimate rite-of-passage drama, more immediate and meaningful than any fiction film could be, with Benetatos and his supportive colleagues emerging as heroes of the first order. Sensitively narrated by codirector and fellow firefighter James Hanlon, 9/11 will endure forever as a tribute to those, living and dead, who witnessed hell on that sunny Tuesday morning. This film is also available from Nexflix.
NEVER forget!
Well, do yourself a favor and order it from the History Channel web site. At $30 it's a bargain.
Usually I'm content to simply use by TVR, but I ordered a copy of the documentary minutes after the show ended. First time ever that I do that.
I have seen just about every 9/11-related so-called "documentary" to date on any channel. The editorializing by commission or omission, always spoils them for me. Those "professionals" are addicted to the "Bush Derangement Syndrome"; I challenge you to find even a hint of that in "102 minutes that changed America".
I'm glad it's missing. You won't find any of it in the film I recommended either.
I'll probably wait for "102" to be released to DVD and then rent it from Netflix.
Republicans need to make clear their recognition that, in many cases, harm to enemy civilians will generate propaganda for the enemy. There's thus nothing wrong with trying to avoid enemy civilian casualties in cases where such avoidance will help rather than harm the U.S. war effort.
On the other hand, they also need to make clear that unconditional avoidance of enemy civilian casualties will encourage the enemy to use its own civilians as human shields. A clearly stated policy stating that human shields (as distinct from incidental civilians) will not deter us would help discourage the enemy from taking human shields in the first place.
Never, ever forget!
