Mordecai Specktor says his 19-year-old son, Max, "has never been in a fight" and is "not a violent person."
"He's an anarchist," said Specktor, the publisher and editor of Minnesota's Jewish newspaper, the American Jewish World. He's also "a University of Minnesota student, Jewishly educated." His son, he said, is "a wonderful guy."
Max Specktor is also now branded a terrorist after his arrest earlier this month, along with seven others, on charges of planning to disrupt the Republican National Convention in St. Paul.
He's been charged with conspiring to riot "in furtherance of terrorism" and could face up to five years in jail and/or a $10,000 fine. He spent two days in jail and was released Sept. 3, after posting $10,000 bail.
More than 800 people were arrested during the convention for protesting, and media reports have said the police in Minneapolis and St. Paul are reviewing the law-enforcement tactics that were used.
The complaint from the Ramsey County Sheriff's Department alleges that the "RNC Welcoming Committee," which Max Specktor had been part of, discussed "kidnapping delegates, sabotaging the Xcel Center, blockading bridges into St. Paul" and "rioting against businesses," among other activities.
The department used an undercover investigator and "confidential reliable informants" in an investigation that began last summer.
The RNC Welcoming Committee Web site does not offer specifics on what the group was planning to do, but does say it wanted to "derail the purely ceremonial show of this repressive system and remake it with our own hands and according to our own visions."

My sentiments exactly. I am always amazed at how people say how “nice, good, sweet” and etc. their kids are when they do really wicked or bad things. Reminds me of the serial killer or guy gone wacko’s neighbors who frequently will say, “but he was so nice...” “... and quiet”

Then again, I would beat that retarded thinking out of him first. A parents duty is to train them up inthe way they should go, not sparing the rod.

On which data do you base your ‘hypothesis’?
From what little I know of the FReepers, they seem to often say they want the goobers in the gooberment to strictly observe the Constitution, not to overthrow the current government.
The current government is the people in it and not the government per se.

It is likely that had he sometime experienced physical repercussions to his simmering and unencumbered aggression, the aggression and accompanying narcissism might have been controllable.
Many of us now see this all the time - children made unstable through not having parameters and lacking a sense of the fundamentals of life - like getting punched back if you strike someone.
I have seen children strike their parents, who respond with gushing “love” - which further enrages this child who immediately sees what a fool and absolute coward his own parent is.
I heard an interview with the father of one of the women who was arrested and charged. Apparently he brought her up to be politically active in protest. These really are red diaper babies.
It is seditious to seek to overthrow the concepts of 3 branches of government with a separation of powers. Anarchists want to end the presidency. Not just of THIS president. Of ALL presidents.
