The chess pieces are in place and John McCain has just moved his bishop to the checkmate position.
No one should believe for a second that John McCain expected Barrack Obama to suspend the campaign, delay the debate or join with John McCain to help solve this crisis.
John McCain knew how Obama would respond and you can write it down, McCain has already drawn up plans on how to hit Obama and hit him hard over this.
Obama has made his intention to continue his campaign public and took at shot at McCain by stating EXACTLY what was posted on this site immediately after McCain gave his speech. Obama took the "Presidents should be able to focus on more than one thing at a time" line from here and used it nationally.
Don't think that McCain didn't see that statement coming. He knew Obama would make that move.
There is something brewing beneath the surface in all of this. John McCain takes "Country First" seriously however don't forget he is a master of war. There are things to come out regarding this move that will make Obama's decision to not suspend his campaign appear exactly as it should in the public eye. When given an opportunity to serve his nation in a time of severe crisis, Barrack Obama decided that his own personal gain was more important.
Publicly McCain may have suggested a delay for Friday's debate but he is prepared. He is ready, and when the debate occurs the elder statesman will give a performance fitting for a hero and a true American Patriot and the voters of America will get to see the difference between someone who can talk presidential, and someone who acts presidential.

The Dims have been attacking McCain about the economy and linking him to Bush over this crisis.....there is no other move he could have made to combat this other than showing he will DO what it takes to get the country back on track....even it if means his campaign will have to take a back seat. That is a true patriot....
I gotta admit, McCain is not following the script the dims have prepared for their republican opponents.

Obama is shaken up by this, it will play with his head. Will there be a debate? If there is, will they address the economy? Will McCain show up?

This is risky risky risky, IMO America does not realize the gravity of the situation, and certainly the media will not point it out, and McCain has “suspended” his campaign, he is not going to MS.

This is a race between a statesman & a politician.
problem is that whether McCain will have the balls to actually say that himself instead of having a commercial that most of us will never see say it.

Sounds good, but I wonder... If McCain is such a master, why did he lose to GW Bush in 2000? Could this be a ploy to escape from the debate? Just wondering.
I caught the tail end of Odumbo’s little presser a while ago. Near the end he was talking about his campaign plane with his logo and as he turned to leave someone, a reporter, I guess asked something that I didn’t hear and Odumbo replied “I’m having a great time” and with that he walked away.
Anyone hear what that question was?

The cameras in the chamber will be glued to McCain. It’s historical - 42 days before an election, and the man suspends it to go back to his DUTY as a Senator?

Next move, he sends Palin in as a substitute to the debate.
Can you imagine? She’s there, McCain is back voting, and the idiot decides to grandstand, and SHE WALKS UP AND TAKES HIS PLACE?
