Say Hello To President Barack Hussein Obama
September 29 2008 | jveritas

The defeat of the bailout bill in the House of Representatives has almost ensured that Barack Obama will be the next President. People who celebrated the defeat of the bailout bill are going to greatly regret it after socialist and defeatist Obama will show all of us what socialism really means. He will surrender to our terrorist enemies abroad whether they are Al Qaeda terrorists or the Iranian terrorist regime. Our victory in Iraq will turn into a defeat and the whole Middle East will be under the control of terrorists who will unleash terrorist attacks on us that will be much more horrible than those on 9/11/2001. The terrorists will control the Middle Eastern oil supplies and if you think that $ 100 a barrel is a lot you need to think about $ 1000 a barrel.

Is there any chance left to defeat Obama?

Yes there is. John McCain can tell the House Republicans to vote for the bailout bill which has been greatly modified to satisfy a lot of their demands. However Obama can do the same and only convinces 12 democrats to switch their votes and say yes to the bailout therefore taking all the credit for saving the economy.

The Republicans played a stupid game of principles and they lost badly. In this case principles will not buy anything but defeat.

I have been the most optimistic member on this forum when it comes to the elections but that was before the defeat of the bailout. Now all this optimism is gone.

Of all the things to get riled up and fight against, why did it have to be this bailout? I tend to agree with Glenn Beck - it isn’t a good thing, but it is the best thing at this point, and much better than what we will eventually get if we don’t pass it.

It is a funny thing, polls showed less then 25% support for the bailout, so now that abounds to Obama?

Even if Bambi wins, he’s Comrade Zero.

I’ll never call him president.

A week is a long time in politics. We have a month and a few days.

Like I said before, it will free up your time and energy since you think Ears Obama is a shoe in now.

The rest of us will continue to expose Ears for the corrupt commie he is and hope that McCain has enough sense to side with the Pences and Hunters in the Congress to propose a freemarket alternative and ensure Ear’s defeat.

The Republicans played a stupid game of principles and they lost badly.

Four days ago, the commenters at the HuffPost accused the Republicans of pushing the bailout to help their Wall Street friends. Today, they’re blaming the Republicans for blocking it and causing a market crash. I know it doesn’t make sense, but that’s how fast the shift in thought happenend.

Just what I was thinking. The House defeated a bill that was deeply unpopular with the citizenry. How does that help Obama?

With all due respect, like hell.

Did it ever occur to Bush he might just need some republican support to deal with a major crisis? Duh.

So I guess this is just one more principle we conservatives should have swallowed in order for McCain to win?

Where does the sell-out of our principles end jveritas?

When we are totally Democrat-Lite?

The lack of a bailout will hit the liberal leftists in NYC harder than anywhere. Let all these bloodsucking leaches be put out of work and away from there billion dollar bonuses. Screw NYC.

Congressional constituent mail has been running 8 - 1 against the bailout.

The people have spoken and they oppose it.

I don't see why they would turn around and vote for Obama as a result.

I think elderly/older Americans are going to be a big factor in this. My grandparents are literally scared of Obama, my husband’s boss (a gentleman in his late 60s) shares the same opinions. Our next-door-neighbors, a lovely elderly couple, is very concerned and afraid of Obama.

I don’t count McCain out at all; I think a lot of people just aren’t responding to the polls.

I’m watching Glenn Beck as we speak; he doesn’t sound like he’s for this bailout.

The time for principles is not when your country is about to financially collapse.

Where have all these principles been for the past 8 years? Spending out the wazoo, but now when we are teetering on the brink of something potentially devastating, they get all bold.

I’m so frustrated today. No, frustrated was yesterday, today I’m pissed.
