This afternoon, my niece accompanied her boyfriend to vote and he was not asked for id. I happened to do a quick google search to research how early voting worked and ran across two other incidents of no id being required. Daily Kos members were sharing their early voting experience and were surprised no one asked for id. Here are the excerpts:

The first thing that happens is you fill out a card with your name & address and sign it. WHAT?????? They’re allowing people with no IDs to vote? So, illegal immigrants could vote and they wouldn’t care!

This happens every year there. Just this year they get to do it early. We need our ground game in Ohio to GOTV and also turn out BIG on Nov 4th. I thought this Early Voting was being taken to the US Circuit Court of Appeals. Any word on if that was decided yet? Blame this all on TAFT. His ineptitude swept the GOP out of all the State House positions.
Hell, I live in VA, and could drive up there and vote. Register and vote all in the same day, and I don’t even live in the state.
That’s f’cking insane!! Such a system is so open to corruption any result, no matter how it turns out, can’t be viewed as credible.
Since it worked well today, expect semis full of illegals to be brought in the next few days.

Early In-Person and Absentee Voting
* The last four digits of voter’s Social Security number; or driver’s license number; or
* A copy of a current and valid photo identification, (i.e. Ohio driver’s license, state ID card, government ID). Photo identification must show name and address; or
* A copy of a current utility bill (including cell phone bill), bank statement, paycheck, government check, or other government document that shows the voter’s name and current address (including from a public college or university).
We should organize a road trip.
Open, early absentee voting is dangerous because it makes it pretty much impossible to have poll watchers verify the process. It’s pretty clear this is being abused.
