The plot: It's the Fourth of July, and a goofy grandfather, Leslie Nielsen, is telling his grandchildren a fairy tale about the grinch who stole Independence Day. Only it's not a grinch. It's Michael Moore, er . . . "Michael Malone." And it's a true story, not a fairy tale.
Moore/Malone wants to eliminate the Fourth of July and has enlisted a number of liberal groups to do it with him. Meanwhile, Islamic terrorists want to recruit Moore to do a terrorist movie for them, to make it easier to recruit jihadists. Moore's nephew is in the military and wants Uncle Mike to understand why what he's doing is harming America. It takes three ghosts of characters past--John F. Kennedy, General George S. Patton, and George Washington--to teach Michael Moore, er . . . "Malone" a lesson. Yes, it's a take-off of Scrooge or "It's a Wonderful Life."
There are so many funny, oh-yeah, yes-yes-yes! moments in this movie, I laughed out loud a lot and so did the other people in the theater.
Surprisingly, a lot of B-list celebs made cameos in the movie, in addition to the starring role played by Kelsey Grammer (Gen. Patton). The list includes Paris Hilton, Kevin Sorbo, Gary Coleman, David Alan Grier, Jon Voight, James Woods, and Dennis Hopper (thought he was a big lib, but I guess I'm wrong).
The movie does a great job of skewering everything from ACLU lawyers to Rosie O'Donnell (the actress playing her is a dead-ringer and spot on) to MoveOn.org to Hollywood . . . and, of course, Michael Moore and his "Sicko" documentary.

VERY FUNNY, especially the ACLU zombie lawyers....
Debbie Schlussel update: I just read in the Detroit Free Press today 10/3/08 that the Muslim creep who sent her treatening e-mail messages, 2 of them, received his sentence of 8 months in prison.

Michael Moore may not be laughing, but Michael Malone sure is....
I think the numbers were like 86% for Palin and 12% for Biden and 0% undecided.
Why is it a PG-13? Would you recommend taking a 12-year old?
Several time during the movie, I heard the "Farley Scream" (sounds like Sam Kinnison with a sore throat)....

God Bless Jerry Zucker, Jon Voight, Kelsey Grammar, Dennis Hopper, Kevin Farley, Leslie Nielsen, David Alan Grier and Gary Coleman.
And God Bless America!
I'm sure it's nothing they haven't heard before (outside the home, of course)....
Wife and I are going tomorrow. Was gonna’ go by myself tonight. Looked for the time on the internet, got to the theater 25 minutes BEFORE the internet said it started. Had started 20 minutes earlier. I think it’s a conspiracy.
Absolutely the funniest movie I have seen in years. Its as funny as “Airplane.” I plan on seeing it again. I also decided that if I go see any other movies at my multiplex I will get a ticket for An American Carol and sneak into the other movie. Is it cheating, sure, but I love the opportunity to stick it to liberal Hollywood.
A good review from her is not a plus in my book. I won’t forget what she did, spreading lies about Thompson. Sorry I’m a one strike and you’re out kinda guy.
