Do we need a freeper minutemen`s squad?

I`ll keep this brief.I think we need a freeper minutemens squad that`ll be ready to respond to any october suprises, ours or their`s.We need freepers willing to compile and share a listing of links to freindly media, talk radio,Fox Cable, web sites and anyone who`ll listen(individuals excluded). When our side hits,we respond with support. When the Rats hit we counter with facts and criticism. What do you,my fellow freepers, think of the idea?Comments, both pro and against are welcome.

For starters how do we form a ping list?

A ping list is easy.

Just keep a list of the members separated by a semicolon.

When you want to ping the list, just do a reply as normal and cut and paste your list in the "To:" box on the reply form.

Hope this helps.

You are inviting scrutiny by people you don’t want to know. Something like this is best done in the fog. Don’t count me in.

I seem to remember a site that would give you your congress-critters` name and contact#s with just the state and zipcode, someone posted the link during the 2004 election cycle.

This PUMA site thread has a comprehensive list of contact info for friendly and hostile media.

The PUMAs are working very hard for the McCain team.

Gotcha! Good Point. I have a disorganized collection of links regarding a couple of topics I’ll have to go through and get organized so I can participate and respond appropriately.

The problem I have noticed with a lot of Congressmans sites is that they don’t receive regular email. You have to go on their page and send it through their page. Before you are allowed to do that, you have to enter your zipcode. If it detects that you are not from their district, then it doesn’t let you send.

Yes,but we need to hammer them now.The fox news report on fannie and freddie was the turning point. For the first time someone has actually mentioned the rat`s responsibility for stopping the attempts at reform, and the donations to Dodd and Obama.Tomorrow Hannity launchs his own piece, will he go even further? You know the MSM will not give it the light of day,we and others need to.

Thanks. I hope it’s useful. I’m not a PUMA and not a member of that site (they have closed new registrations), but I do check it frequently to see what’s going on. They have a wealth of ammo on Obama. Check it out for yourself. I find it encouraging to go there and see that there are some Dems who are waking up to what their party has become and are doing something about it.

Great idea. Don’t forget “twitter”, it’s a great way to still communicate when you can’t get to a computer. I set up an account real quick at twitter.com/freerepublic . (if the folks at Free Republic are interested in managing or having me do it, let me know)

There is probably no one better at social networking than the grassroots Democrats. While conservatives dominate talk radio, liberals dominate the Internet social Networks.

Conservatives need to learn to play better in this new environment. It’s the new way of branding, getting your message out and raising funds.

They’re really good at it and we aren’t. I hope what you’re talking about is becoming better at getting the conservative message out. How many people a day do think read Digg vs.listening to Rush or Hannity?

The problem is conservatives need to be ‘proactive’ in getting their message out, not ‘reactive.

I hope you see my point.

I’m in.

I can put together a project management website up in relatively short order if you all are serious—I’m a web developer.

This is exactly the type of thing I think we should do.

Someone contact me if you need me.
