Obama's policy, which anticipates eliminating imports by 2012 or earlier...

Iceland was 80 percent dependent on imported coal and oil in the 1970s and was among the poorest economies in Europe.

Today, Iceland is 100 percent energy independent, and according to the International Monetary Fund is now the fourth most affluent nation on Earth.

Frankly, I doubt if Obama knows a damn thing about econ or business.

The fact is that he know bupkis about such things. All that he knows is that capitalism is bad. His various Marxist mentors told him so. He honestly thinks that socialism is workable - this from a man who has never owned a business. He has no idea what it is like to pay rent or property taxes on a business location. He has never had to pay insurance on a business, pay employees, or pay for electricity for a business. Today, $250K gross for a small business does not go very far when you factor in all the expenses. I doubt that he knows the difference between gross and net income anyway.

ROFLMAO. You nailed him. These stupid college kids to adults who have never run a business are going to be in for the shock of their life if this donkey is elected.

We have a lot of folks who seem to think the gov owes them, should solve all their problems, that they should have every new gadget, and; hell, you just charge it on a credit card. When the bills pile in they claim foul.

In 97, I got a new neighbor who had a good job buy the home next to me. He and his wife easily qualified for the loan on his incone alone, but; he kept spending and spending. Two new cars, two car payments, two new babies, and; he was out on the town every night. It was no surprise in 2002 when he was behind on his mortgage. He dumped the house on a “we buy homes fast” type, as opposed to facing foreclosure like a man. That is what we are dealing with in many cases.

We have folks who have spent and spent- not the victims they claim in most cases. Sorry for the rant, but; I see the real problem. Spend, spend, and spend. They never save for things they really need or have an emergency fund. They have to have it all right now.

Don’t trust a Kennedy, any of them. If Robert Kennedy Jr. announced that manure smells, I’d want a second opinion.

“We have FOUR times the Saudis reserves in shale oil, coal diesel and ND oil at $30 a barrel. PElosi, Reid and Obama just want to make the Saudis richer.”

Silence! all we need to do is inflate our tires and change our light bulbs to Compact fluorescent and we never ever have to drill or make new power plants, plus alternative energy will save us all! /s off
