soft ball interview. Re: Ayers-He let Obama off the hook with the usual "Annenberg was a friend of Reagan" baloney. Smerconish takes no follow-up calls. No question about "Community activities" Obama says he was engaged in in CHI, how about ACORN? Sal palantonio calls in to station, will be sitting down with Palin for interview on ESPN when she comes to Philly for dropping puck at Flyers' opening game.

A failed economy will only help the socialists

Obama has been flat or declining since Tuesday. He gave nobody who had fled to him since the Lehmann failure any reinforcement for their choice, The true empty suit, and it fits with prior perception of him.

It seems the entire Democrat party is now barfing “It’s Bush’s fault” on the economy. But I think it’s starting to fall on deaf ears. They used that line too often when it was a lie. Now that the facts are starting to come out on ACORN, Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac, it’s hard to hide. Obama will buy time to spew his Goebbels BS, and then pull the race card at the end of the show (IMHO) When he does pull the card, it will be the lowest point in US History

BO says any other topic is a “distraction from the economy” then says nothing about the economy. Star-crossed lover Smerconish can’t even ask him what he thinks the problem is and what can be done about it. By default, Obama is left supporting bailout, which certainly hasn’t produced good early returns. Guess what, BO? It’s Bush’s (and Paulson’s) plan. If they were so bad at running the economy in good times, why don’t you have anything different in emergency times?

No matter what happens to the economy, Barack will still be making money. He can’t lose his job or paycheck, his plane, his expensive home, his children’s tuition, and his wife’s shopping sprees. He is totally disconnected from reality.

After Smerconish finished deriding those from Lehigh and Reading counties and other Pennsylvania points north and west, because they would dare get upset and angry about Obama, and because Palin-McCain camp was inflaming them with use of Obama's middle name, and also this non-issue of the "association" with Ayers ...

Yes, and then Smerconish asked about Smerconish's own handguns, Obama said he supported the 2nd, and that it was an individual right. But that there needed to be regulation and tracking, for example like in Philly to keep cops from being shot -- so Smerconish asked about Mumia Abu-Jamal, a late seventies radical Black panther and convicted, yet not yet executed, cop-killer. Mumia is a cause-celebre amoung the Hollywood-type elite, with the Europeans. Obama said that he was unfamiliar with the case.

And Smerconish said that was cool, too.

The Mumia Abdul-Jamal case is a franchise Smerconish owns, Smerconish has co-written books with the murdered policeman's widow. Yet it was okay and fine that Obama, under the tutelage in the late-seventies of another black radical, Frank Davis, "did not know nothing".

And it is okay too, to use Mumia's full name, but to use Obama's full name gets Smerconish into an O'reilly-esque dither.

Meantime on the other Philly talker -- 990 AM -- Bill Bennett was doing a great, exhaustive interview with Stanley Kurtz about the whole Acorn-Ayers-Obama issue. And it is an issue -- the most important one of this campaign, despite the dithering of the pansies.

Well, he is the Anti-Christ, or a classic form of him in my opinion. Only God can change things, and only God brings hope. Anything that man brings is a result of Adam’s Fall. Prayer changes our opinion and motivation of God’s will, and then allows us to understand God. Putting hope in a mortal man is an abomination to God. So watching this form of an anti-Christ on television is akin to idolatry. Those who choose to watch, well, they have rejected God.

WPHT is on a steady march to the left. They would dump Rush, Beck, and Hannity if they didn’t bring in so much advertising money.

Beware the Sal Pal interview.

ESPN is a den of libs (See Olbermann, Keith and Shuster, Suzy) and Sal Pal is a ton smarter than your average sports guy - he covered Philly politics extensively back in the Frank Rizzo days. He’s also one of ESPN’s toughest interviewers.

If Sarah thinks she’s going to nip in, talk some Seahawks and hockey, and nip out, she may be in for a big surprise.

Acorn-Ayers-Obama issue. And it is an issue

Smerconish likes to dismiss it as the most casual sort of "association." Thomas Sowell article posted here the other night emphasized it is an ALLIANCE. That's where I think McCain's ad went wrong, calling them "friends," should have called the "allies."

For those of you who don't live in the Murder Capital of America (formerly known as the City of Brotherly Love!) Michael Smerconish is an arrogant, self-centered priggish twit who has been in the tank for Obama from the start. This self-appointed radio talk-show megalomaniac has been soft-peddling Obama and making excuses for him for the past year.

Smerconish masquerades as a middle-of-the-road Mr. Logical, but in truth is a flaming lib lawyer who thinks the world revolves around him and private life. As a true Conservative I can't stomach this officious a**hole. You can hear the glee in voice every time McCain or Palin get bad press. He's always happy to report it.

Palantonio usually brings a little conservatism to Smerconish show, talking up Rizzo for instance (again,if that's really conservative) and his sports book is How Football Explains America. Of course, he had to play a little kiss-up today to make sure he gets back on air to max, telling Smerconish BO interview was "great."

I had the sense Sal Pal was at least somewhat conservative given his decorated Naval career, but the point remains that Sarah can’t take him lightly.

He’s a damn sight smarter and better than say Wendi Nix or Rachel Nichols.

the epitome of that was when he played up the Letterman reaming of McCain for alibiing out of appearance, while totally ignoring fact Toon was on Larry King Live at the same time damning BO with faint praise, while predicting he would be sent out to court the "cracker vote" in Florida.
