In an interview with Nicholas Kristof, published in The New York Times, Obama recited the Muslim call to prayer, the Adhan, “with a first-class [Arabic] accent.” The opening lines of the Adhan (Azaan) is the Shahada: “Allah is Supreme! Allah is Supreme! Allah is Supreme! Allah is Supreme! I witness that there is no god but Allah I witness that there is no god but Allah I witness that Muhammad is his prophet? “

I wish someone had that on tape (I bet the NY TImes does) so McCain could make it into a commercial(if he had the guts).

Not following you here. Dual citizenship with Kenya or Indonesia has to do with THEIR LAW, not ours, and with choices made by other adults, not by the subject of the discussion. American law doesn't pull the trigger on citizenship selection until you reach the age of majority.

We've been over that part of the discussion thousands of times on FR so there's no sense belaboring an erroneous observation when all you have to do is go back to existing threads and find cross references to court cases and statutes.

Not quite that exactly ~ more like you are BORN as a Moslem, and then you are misled into other religions.

That Obama may be more protective of Muslims, because of his Muslim past (something I've already considered), is different than convincing people we shouldn't vote for Obama because he is secretly a Muslim. And incidentally, many on the left, who were not schooled as Muslims as children, want to do the same.

I'd criticize the actions Obama has taken to protect/favor Muslims at a time when we are at war with the most militant of them. That would be far more effective than raising the issue of his Muslim past as a child, which in and of itself, will convince few people not to vote for him, and only give the MSM fodder to paint us as racists.

Indonesia did not allow dual citizenship, not sure about Africa. Obama is not a NATURAL BORN citizen since he was born in Kenya. Even if he was born in Hawaii, he became a citizen of Indonesia when adopted by Soetoro, and has never renounced that citizenship (has traveled on Indonesian passport). If he had renounced his Indonesian citizenship, he’d be a naturalized citizen.

Naturalized citizens are ineligable for the office of President of the United States.

It is possible to be a "natural born citizen" and a "naturalized citizen" simultaneously. Happens all the time in fact. Little kid is born here to his illegal alien mama. She takes him back to Mexico with her. Next thing you know he's 18 and at the border demanding his right as a US citizen. He goes to court. Takes the appropriate oath, and voila, he's both a "natural born" and a "naturalized" citizen.

Each part of the equation is controlled by a different constitutional clause.

Then there's our common law standard that discounts oaths made by children.

End of story.

All almost meaningless, particularly to the average voter. Obama has been attending a Christian church for twenty years. There is no proof he is currently a practicing Muslim, or that he has been in a long time. It is a losing argument.

Far better to highlight his past associations with the most violent and worst of sixties radicals like Ayers, going back many years almost to the current day, for which there is hard, incontrovertible evidence.

What is the evidence that Obama is a Christian? That he went to Jeremiah majored-in-Muslim-studies Wright’s church for twenty years? The liberals in the news media are more than willing to swallow leftist BS whole.

Do you really believe that an upstanding Catholic priest of his stature would share that pulpit, if it was wasn't a really a Christian church?

Absolutely, he doesn't have much use for whites or Jews either.

Of course you touch upon what should be the real issue, the nature of Obama's faith, black liberation theology, not the possibility that he might or might not have been a Muslim before converting. Unfortunately that issue is being obscured.

Rainbow is the new black.

Homosexual activists, via the the Rainbow Trojan Horse, provided Marxists with unprecedented access to our nation’s financial infrastructure; and we can all observe the results unfolding in the systemic crisis they've caused.

The three step formula for Marxist/Leninist subversion:

1. Demoralization
2. Destabilization
3. Crisis

call it 'the sound bite narrative mien,"' said Danielle Allen

It's "meme", you moron.

Yay, FR.

Um...

mien

mien (mên) noun

1. Bearing or manner, especially as it reveals an inner state of mind: "He was a Vietnam veteran with a haunted mien" (James Traub). See synonyms at bearing.

2. An appearance or aspect.

[Alteration (influenced by French mine, appearance). See minaudière, of Middle English demeine, demeanor, from Old French, from demener, to behave. See demean1.]

The word Danielle was attempting to use is "meme".

The word she used was not the appropriate one. The definition you took the time to post should have helped you understand that. A "mien" is an aspect possessed by a person. She was not saying that there was a "sound bite" out there that had a particular state of mind, appearance or aspect. She was saying that there is a sound bite that is spreading like a virus out there. That is what a "meme" is. Look it up and get back to me.

IIRC, Muslims believe the son of a Muslim (i.e. Barack) is definitionally a Muslim. Indeed, renouncing Islam and adopting Christianity, as Barack has apparently done, is apostasy and punishable by death in several Muslim countries.

Christianity believes in the choice of individuals. So, it is natural that a Christian perspective is that Barack’s choice of Christianity makes him a Christian.

So:

To a Muslim, Barack’s a Muslim.

To a Christian, Barack’s a Christian.

They’re both right from their respective perspectives.

They’re willing to spend on something that is “collective” like a slumber party... but not on personal gifts that are individualistic. Pink ideology.

He speaks publicly about his conversion to Christianity. BUT HE IS NOT AFRAID OF OFFENDING MUSLIMS. Why?????

Because his jihadi friends understand that this deception is a way to gain power and advance the cause from the highest position in government. For moslems this kind of unethical sewer behavior is perfectly acceptible and even recommended by their "prophet" "Mohammed."
