For Obama But Against Abortion

Barack Obama has held himself out as a bridge builder across even divisive issues. No topic fits that description more than abortion.

In the final presidential debate Wednesday, Obama had seemingly finished giving his view on abortion when he added these words: Abortion is "always a tragic situation," he said, and we should "try to prevent unintended pregnancies by providing appropriate education to our youth, communicating that sexuality is sacred ... and providing options for adoption and helping single mothers if they want to choose to keep the baby. ... Nobody is pro-abortion. ... We should try to reduce these circumstances."

Kmiec should stick to law and leave Catholicism to those of us who abide by it.

The only reason I can come up with for Kmiec's outrageous position is that he is so in the tank for Obama that he desperately wants to rationalize away Obama's cheerleading for the murder of little babies. Obama's position is so extreme that it must be repugnant to any thinking person.

I’m sure it’s not exactly that. But...considering that Kmiec has deep Chicago roots, and that he was at a large Chicago law firm before beginning his government work, I’m not so sure that Obama and his Chicago boys don’t have some dirt. It sounds incredible. But what Kmiec is saying is also incredible. His reasoning begs for a second guess as to why.

With regards to The Firm, I think that Kmiec was actually at the same firm as Michelle and Bill Ayers’ wife, which is, I think, Sidley Austin? He was there a very long time ago, so I’m not certain of that, but I am beyond a reasonable suspicion. Is it beyond the pale to think that something revolving around The Firm could be at the root of this??

The southern expression for having dirt on somebody generally is having photos of someone in a house of ill repute. The actual original phrase is completely politically incorrect as well as obscene and can't be even THOUGHT of any more, so I cleaned it up.

Cant’ remember where I read it but this statement is so true:

Whenever there is a compromise between good and evil, evil always wins.

There is no compromise when it comes to abortion. The way to prevent millions of them is to make them illegal. I can tell you from experience both from my own and from millions of women who are voicing their regret through “Silent No More Awareness” that the fact that abortion is legal made the abortion easy to obtain, inexpensive and gave it an aura of rightness.

Wednesday night McCain could have explained 0bamas promise to sign the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA). It’s on tape. 0bama promised at a Planned Parenthood convention that the first thing he would do as president is overturn every pro-life law in all 50 states, including the Partial Birth Abortion ban, parental notification and consent. That’s what FOCA would do.

McCain could have closed with explaining that 0bama’s FOCA promise is proof that 0bama’s “common ground on abortion” is just more lies and BS.

0bama and his pathetic looser, Traitor Kmiec would have been hard pressed to spin on that.
