Even with massive oversampling of Dems, Obama is collapsing. His "insurmountable" lead in FL, OH and CO from one week ago is not a deficit in each of those 3 states.

Please tell me that there is nobody at FR that actually believes Obama is going to win this.

What I'm worried about is that there is a large group of people who are now invested in this election for the first time and don't know that the MSM lies about the Dem until election night when they report the Republican won. They are going to be shocked by McCain's win and riot.

Does NV mirror CO? Opinions, please.

We can win by holding ‘04 states less IA, NM. If OH, FL, MO, NV, CO hold, O-blah-blah is done.

He ain’t gonna take FL!

SW, Central and N. FL are still conservative. And we require photo ID to vote!

The real shocker will come when Broward and Palm Beach counties go to McCain. The Cubans aren’t going to go the way of the other hispanics because they are on the whole pretty successful and older Jewish voters down there can recognize Obama is no friend of Israel.

There’s a reason Hamas likes him!

Obama is not going to win FL. He will only win OH with massive fraud.

I think James Dobson of Focus on the Family in Colo Spgs only just recently endorsed McCain. This should help in CO.

The evangelicals, Catholics, Protestants were out in mass during the 2004 Bush GOTV. The churches really motivated people. I would think Obama is a bigger threat to church going people than Obama.

I was watching all the Sunday talk shows that were pretty much calling this election over for Obama. They were all talking about Powell etc. I suspect that will be the main talking points tomorrow, especially on MSNBC/NBC. If this thing begins to narrow at the National level, it will also narrow at the State level. Nothing would create more joy in my heart on election night to see all thes no-it-alls sit there with there mouths wide open wondering what happened. Keep hope alive!

Obama as Hamas supporters on his campaign staff. He got rid of one guy. I think Palm Beach has a real shot. I think PB has more older Jewish voters versus Broward. I am not sure if younger Jewish voters will back Barrack. Post 9/11, the younger Jewish voters I knew realized Republicans were better on protecting America and Israel.

The other thing about Cuban-Americans is they will have a major smack down if Dems try to steal votes. They put a stop to it very quickly in 2000 while we in Broward almost let them get away with it. The good news is hopefully having a Repub sheriff in Broward (because the Dem went to jail) should help to protect the vote.

The balance of Florida should go McCain. The blue dog northern Dems are not going to vote Obama.

We now have polls showing movement in OH FL and CO. I think pollsters are underestimating the Palin effect and a fair minded nation’s increasing fury at the injustice over how Bill Ayers Friend and his corrupt surrogates in the media have attacked Joe and Sarah. Good people are livid and tired of these a$$holes going to Frisco to call them racists.

Obama can’t bring together the Kerry coalition of 2004. He’s lost too many bitter clingers. I also believe that many people who consider themselves ‘centrists’ will look at him and see an inexperienced and far left extremist candidate.

Also, I think the Dems are counting too much on the recent financial market problems and the swings in the Dow. That seemed to help Obama in the polls at first, but now I think people are processing just what each candidate will mean for them. Clearly, the cost of Obama’s policies is going to be greater than McCain’s. Higher taxes, fewer jobs, etc...People know the economy and the markets will be back. Do they want to be paying higher tax rates on future capital gains? Especially if they enter the market today?

Dade is usually Republican, no? Cubans know a socialist when they see one! Perhaps the scandal with Foley’s replacement will produce reverse coat tails in PBC.

I think the conventional wisdom on Hispanics may be wrong. In my experience, Mexican and South American Hispanics are somewhat anti-black. It’s going to be a major internal battle for them to vote for the redistribution of wealth or against the black guy.

Should be interesting.

I agree. Sarah is a once-in-a-generation politician. To come out of the wilderness to perhaps save America-if she can do this for McCain and country the American people will owe her big time. Short of a momentous gaffe, Darah will be the Republican presidential nominee whenever she wants to run for the office. The polls are beginning to shift and for those who deny the impact of Sarah on this race you are totally delusional and frankly dumb.

Last week I drove from VA to Orland FL and back with a colleague who started out as a dem leaning undecided who ended our trip firmly in McCain’s camp. I’d like to say that my winning personality convinced him but what really did the trick was ‘Joe the Plumber’. Obama actually saying he wants to ‘spread the wealth’ around really hit home!

In the end, it probably comes down to VA and PA.

If the election were caucuses instead of elections Obama probably wins by a landslide...BUT.....

YES. YES. YES. How soon we forget what the Democrat primary illustrated. Obama won precisely because he was able to get his far left extremist goons to caucuses and dominate them. But when he had to compete in open primaries, especially in big states, he lost every time. And that was with him having the nomination all but wrapped up (which, of course, was due to anti-democratic measures in the Democrat party, such as the superdelegates). Whenever Obama faced an electorate of rural and suburban voters, he lost badly. This guy does not play well among those groups. Even among Democrats. Don't think the Hillary supporters don't know that an Obama loss this time around means their favorite will be able to run again in 2012. Kerry was able to attract enough bitter clingers and had the largest Democrat popular vote total in a presidential race ever. Obama won't do that. Let's face the truth. Obama dominates relatively small constituencies in American life. African-Americans, White Upper Class liberals, left wing extremists, entertainers, academics, and the young. This is not a winning coalition. Democrats put themselves in a position to win when they can appeal to rural and suburban whites. That's why the Clintons are successful, in general, because they are able to appeal to enough rural and suburban voters. I think McCain will win this thing by a larger margin than Bush beat Kerry back in 2004, when the uncertain aftermath of the Iraq invasion provided an opening for Kerry. Now there is less of a rationale for a Democrat. We need the markets to recover as well the economy in general. We're not going to get there with higher taxes and socialist redistribution. McCain needs to hit Obama over tax hikes and spending increases from here on. That's the bread and butter of GOP politics. Get people to vote based on what Obama's going to cost them.

I've been thinking about the same thing. Back in 2004 they HOPED that Kerry would win but they were at least thinking about the possibility of Bush winning. This time they have no concept of defeat and the shock maybe too much for them to handle.

That’s an old poll, check out the current chart from Pollster.com. CO is winnable, but its slipping away. The national polls are tighting and it usually takes a few days for the state polling data to catch. So we will see if it has helped. I do know McCain has a good lead in WV and Indiana, he has no business going to PA. He needs to win the Bush states of 2004 minus Iowa to pull off a win.

The fraud scam is the way to keep it from being a McCain landslide. As long as the final tally is within a couple of points, it lets The Obamanation pull a Kenya and send his Obamatons into the streets to riot over another election 'stolen' by an 'illegitimate' president. They want either total power or total destruction this time around.
