Republican John McCain continued a slow advance on Democrat Barack Obama in the race for president, moving back within three percentage points as the race begins to head down the stretch run, the latest Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby daily tracking poll shows.
McCain now trails Obama by 2.7 points, down from the 3.9 point deficit he faced 24 hours earlier.
Seven-point-one percent of the likely voters surveyed said they remain undecided.
Obama lost five-tenths of a point from yesterday's report, while McCain gained another six-tenths of a point. It was the third consecutive day in which Obama's numbers slipped and McCain's numbers increased.
McCain has once again moved above 45% support overall, a mark he has not seen since the second day of daily tracking reports. Obama's slip under 48% support is the first time at that level in nearly a week. He now stands within one-tenth of a percent of where he stood when the Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby daily tracking began almost two weeks ago. McCain is within two-tenths of a percent of where he was when the tracking poll began.
During the 13 days of the tracking poll, Obama has led by as much as 6.2 points and as little as 1.9 points.
Except for a few hours of polling, this three-day rolling average of telephone polling now includes a sample taken entirely after the final presidential debate last Wednesday.
The tracking poll includes 1,211 likely voters across the country who were surveyed between Oct. 16-18, 2008, at the rate of about 400 per day. The survey, conducted using live telephone interviewers calling from Zogby's call center in Upstate New York, carries a margin of error of +/- 2.9 percentage points.

Powell's reasoning was truly amazing-for Obama because this has been a very negative campaign by McCain. Looks like the person best able to lead the country would be a factor too, but Powell did not cite that reason. Amazing....
If truth be known if the loony left could somehow by a magic wand wipe out all the evangelicals in America, including Sarah, I think they would and celebrate the fact by having a nationwide orgy to feast on their corpses and blood. It is this hatred by Obama’s thugs alone that makes the election of Obama very dangerous to the religious liberty of all Christians and Jews. Remember as Commander-in-Chief of all the armed forces. What if Obama uses these forces against his Americans in the name of preserving order and remember he will control the IRS and make life hell for any of his opponents.

This is nice, but remember that a Zogby poll is about as accurate as a Ouiji Board in predicting the actual result.
Why isn’t obama spreading the wealth? If you look at any black leader in Africa, they all walked around wearing more gold than fort knox has. Castles,robes and gold rings and chains. Even Mandella strouts around wearing plenty of gold, while African children starve.Mandella and his forty theives that run the African gold mine is a perfect example of what the U S will look like.
Why did Opra go to Africa? Not to help a girl school. She went to cheat this country and not pay her share of taxes.
A tax break is why she went there and so do many other black Americans and many Hollywood low life. The Gold mines of Africa could very well feed the people there but why should they when those Americans that don’t want to pay their fair share of taxes use them for tax breaks.
Obama will be no different, he will live high of the hog and Americans will be living in poverty.

Chelsea celebrated a birthday there. Not a DROP of water of food went to the poor starving children in Africa. The town no long exists and some how all the people and children disappeared, kiled, buried dead or alive. Can you see obama giving an American a drop of water.
obama’s lust for Wealth and Power will give him no time for anything but obama.
The Coward Cowan Powell endorses obama, did anyone expect anything other than that. Powell is still running from anyone and anything that might disagree with him. Once he gets rid of those, in my opinion falsely aquired metals, that are weighing him down, he might be able to stand up and act like a man.
