Zogby: McCain Is Gaining, Race Tightens
NewsMax ^ | October 19, 2008

Republican John McCain continued a slow advance on Democrat Barack Obama in the race for president, moving back within three percentage points as the race begins to head down the stretch run, the latest Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby daily tracking poll shows.

McCain now trails Obama by 2.7 points, down from the 3.9 point deficit he faced 24 hours earlier.

Seven-point-one percent of the likely voters surveyed said they remain undecided.

Obama lost five-tenths of a point from yesterday's report, while McCain gained another six-tenths of a point. It was the third consecutive day in which Obama's numbers slipped and McCain's numbers increased.

McCain has once again moved above 45% support overall, a mark he has not seen since the second day of daily tracking reports. Obama's slip under 48% support is the first time at that level in nearly a week. He now stands within one-tenth of a percent of where he stood when the Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby daily tracking began almost two weeks ago. McCain is within two-tenths of a percent of where he was when the tracking poll began.

During the 13 days of the tracking poll, Obama has led by as much as 6.2 points and as little as 1.9 points.

Except for a few hours of polling, this three-day rolling average of telephone polling now includes a sample taken entirely after the final presidential debate last Wednesday.

The tracking poll includes 1,211 likely voters across the country who were surveyed between Oct. 16-18, 2008, at the rate of about 400 per day. The survey, conducted using live telephone interviewers calling from Zogby's call center in Upstate New York, carries a margin of error of +/- 2.9 percentage points.

If Obama wins, liberals will watch cnn, cbs, nbc, abc and conservatives will listen to fox and talk shows. Both sides keep people watching and listening, but the country loses.

This probably has a lot to do why Collin (the racist) Powell pulled the trigger. Powell needs an ACORN jacket... or, brown shirt.

get ready for a crazy last 2 weeks

You won't know what crazy is until the 2 months after the election, what with the riots and endless recounts and legal challenges.

Your right and if Powell had his way he could have held off with the war in Iraq and perhaps many more Americans would have been killed.
JUST REMEMBER ONE THING, THIS COUNTRY HAS BEEN SAFE WITH
PRES.GEORGE BUSH, NO THANKS TO THE COWARD POWELL.
THIS COUNTRY HAS A MISSILE DEFENSE THANKS TO PRES.BUSH.
THE DEMORATS SAID WE CAN’T DEFEND OURSELVES UNLESS A MISSLE LANDS ON OUR SOIL FIRST. PRES. BUSH IS BLANMED FOR EVERYTHING
WHY NOT BLAME HIM FOR MAKING THIS COUNTRY SAFE FOR THE LAST 8 YEARS.

THANK YOU PRES.BUSH, THANK YOU PRES. BUSH

The pollsters are consistently polling more Democrats than Republicans. So the question is, “If Obama is badly defeated in the election, what will the anticipated MSM freak-out be?”

1) They will call the American people of being “idiots” and “racists”.
2) They will accuse McCain of cheating.
3) John McCain will immediately be attacked as “senile”, “stupid”, and “just a pawn”, which is what typically is done to winning Republican presidents.
4) The MSM will demand the McCain show “bipartisanship”, and that McCain appoint many Democrats to his cabinet and administration.
5) Congressional Democrats will be encouraged to be obstructionist and to block any McCain Supreme Court nominees.
6) The MSM will insist that McCain must implement liberal policies that Obama promised, “for the good of the country.”
7) The MSM will demand that McCain immediately join reprehensible foreign treaties like Kyoto, immediately withdraw the US military from Iraq, and cede power to the United Nations, to “restore international respect of the US.”

McCain's message (Joe the Plumber) is working. If McCain pulls up even he will stick to his message and Obama will get panicky and start trying different messages, which is a sure loser.

There is plenty of wealth in Africa. Those in power want to keep the people starving and under educated. Do you honestly think Obama will be any different. Obama wants change, tierd of the same old, same old, why not spread the wealth around, WHO’S WEALTH. Not his. This county will be at war if obama and powel have their way.
Their are plenty of black Americans that get no credit for the work they do, but for some reason it’s always the low life scum and cowards that seem to be the heros for black America.

Make sure we are all at local McCain HQ helping out with GOTV the weekend before the election. Volunteer now if you can especially if you are retired.

This is going to go McCain/Palin’s way. People are going to break towards them as they realize that Oboredom will bring a Depression.
If the pollsters used the same mix as the last 2 presidential elections it wouldn’t be close.

Pray for W, McCuda and Our Troops

Bingo! You get the prize. Obama has saturation bombed Florida and he is still losing.

In my neighborhood and small town which is pretty Repub there are McCain signs everywhere. In 2000 and 2004 a lot fewer Bush signs versus McCain.

I drove past a 2 story waterfront condo. Probably 30 units, a very nice building but not incredible. They had a big vinyl banner professional sign they put up saying vote McCain plus essentially that Obama is a horrible choice. They made it up professionally at their expense and probably everyone in the condo had to agree. There was quite a bit of text.

The sign was hanging from the second floor. I never saw anything like that in any election.

How do the battleground states look? It appears that New Hampshire(four electoral votes)is one because there are tons of Osama Obama ads on Boston TV and radio and they know darn well that they have MA,RI,CT and ME in the bag.

Who are these morons?

They're not necessarily morons if they finally come to their senses and vote McCain. Something tells me that a significant majority of them will end up doing just that.
