Thanks for the info. Yes, I have a lot to learn about this camera. It’s a fairly “simple” camera compared with others, but to me it’s plenty complex. Good thing the camera knows more than I do about taking photos. :-)

“Who is the guy standing next to Todd in the red jacket?”

He was introduced as Todd’s friend and snow machine racing partner.

Thank you for the wonderful pictures. I must have been near you judging from the angle.

I was puzzled why so many (and I do mean MANY) were shut outside the gates with so many empty seats in the stadium. I can only conclude it was for security concerns. Anybody know?

Thank you for the video link—Sarah was terrific (as always)! :)

Colorado Springs is beautiful—we’ve been there a few times.

Hmm, I was thinking of getting a nice digital SLR. I like to take pictures and want to be able to get some higher quality shots.

I have followed Sarah’s campaign throughout the country, city by city, thanks to Freepers who have been generous enough to post such pictures as these. Thank you.

And as always a glimpse of little Piper brightens the day.

I loved watching her with her baby brother Trig during the campaign...sweetess incarnate.

I just found this comment in a thread I started a while back? Not sure what you’re trying to say. Were you simply trying to insult me by saying that I take crappy photos? That’s the way it came across.

If you were trying to be helpful, maybe start with something nice to say, and then offer your advice. Only providing criticism comes across as, well, simply critical.

Just saying.

I do want to add that if you are trying to be helpful, please provide specific friendly advice, rather than a smackdown consisting of four hyperlinks. I am open to learning; I’m not open to insults.

Holy crap, you're giving me grief for something I posted a year ago! I'm not sure what I was trying to say, I've slept since then. I've also probably posted on a thousand threads or so since then as well. I'll have to go back and read the original.

But on first blush, I don't believe I was trying to be insulting. BTW: Did you bother to read your post (#41) that I was replying to?

Shesh...

I was thinking you were commenting on my first post, #1. I’m sorry. Your response to my question in post #41 was a helpful one.

FWIW, I came across this old post of mine after someone accused me of being a RINO, something about which I take great offense. I was in a bad mood when I posted that comment to you.

Again, I apologize.
