24 hours ago I picked up a cooler that was on my porch. A garden slug was on it. He attached himself to my middle finger on my left hand. I shook him off and washed my hands. Apparently I failed to wash adequately enough.
Now I have a ugly festeing blister on my finger. I google searched for answers. Didn't find any help. But I know my FReeper FRiends will come through with all sorts of solutions and answers. Some may even be helpful. (But I doubt it)

Was it a Banana Slug? If so, search out a UCSC graduate. Their mascot is the banana slug, so they could be a great deal of help to you.

If so, you are probably having an allergic reaction.
I have never heard of a slug giving someone a blister.
I would take some Benadryl and put some topical Benadryl on the area.
If it gets worse, go see a doc.

I come from the Pacific Northwest, a land where slugs are practically the state animal. I’ve never heard of slug slime being in any way harmful, other than that nasty case of the willies you get when you step on one barefoot.
Especially a big one. Blechh. The way it gooshes up between your toes...
As long as you are conscious, can breathe easily, are not dizzy, and do not have a fever, I suppose you should be fine.

(I’m thinking you may be allergic. I’d suggest more Web search and calling a doctor. Also, calling the parks department of your state! They should know if there is a general danger.)
