Obama: those who don't want higher taxes 'selfishness'
The Pittsburgh Tribune Review ^ | October 31, 2008 | Salena Zito

ABC News Reporter Jake Tapper's Political Punch Blog has a report on Sen. Barack Obama's push-back on John McCain's description of his tax policies, Tapper begins with a quote from Obama in Florida, here is the whole report:

"The reason that we want to do this, change our tax code, is not because I have anything against the rich," Obama said in Sarasota, Fla., yesterday. "I love rich people! I want all of you to be rich. Go for it. That's the American dream, that's the American way, that's terrific.

Of course, just like in the USSR, China, Cuba and other Worker’s Paradises, the ruling elite will not share their wealth.

There are many here who explain why the wealthy want socialism. In a nutshell it stops competition and creates a ruling authority. The rich will be that authority.

What's more telling than the 'selfish' remark is Barack's suggesting that right-wingers would regard people who give their own money charitably as socialists. Barack doesn't realize that there's a huge difference between a kid who gives part of his sandwich to someone else, and a bully who takes part of someone else's sandwich, nibbles some himself, and then gives people the rest in exchange for a promise of fealty.

Obama has complained to the media (and in this video) that McCain and Palin are calling him a socialist. He never quite denies the accusation but plays it up as some kind of fear tactic. It is a fear tactic but as we all know a righteous one because EU socialism will destroy this country and endanger us and the world.

But what you never have heard Obama being asked by anyone in the media is what HIS definition of socialism is. You can just imagine the hemming and hawing that would go on because to describe European socialism is to describe his solutions.

Notice in the youtube clip that the next line in his speech is Obama claiming that McCain/Palin would call him communist for the fact that he shared his toys when he was a kid. If only those Obama bots knew of the consistent string of marxist associates that Obama has had his whole life that he has never been asked about by the MSM, many of these very associations that he admitted were commumists in his first book but hidden in his second.

The point is, though, that -- and it's not just charity, it's not just that I want to help the middle class and working people who are trying to get in the middle class -- it's that when we actually make sure that everybody's got a shot...

And as far as I am concerned Obama admits clear as day that he wants to help the working class by taxing the middle class...and help the middle class by taxing the upper class...and taxing the uber-upper class to help the...

It takes a stainless steel set of balls to call anyone selfish when you’re a millionaire and your brother lives in a hut on $1 a month, your grandmother’s living in hut with a dirt floor and no running water and the aunt you exploited in your book is living in one of the worst public housing projects in Boston.

Nailed it!

We're selfish, Chairman Milhouse? No, these guys are selfish:

From TaxProf Blog 3/25/2008
Barack Obama today [March 25, 2008] released his 2000-2006 tax returns:
Source: TaxProf Blog 3/25/2008 "Obama Releases 2000-2006 Tax Returns"

From USA Today, 9/12/2008
Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden and his wife gave an average of $369 a year to charity during the past decade, his tax records show.

... The Bidens reported giving $995 in charitable donations last year — about 0.3% of their income and the highest amount in the past decade. The low was $120 in 1999, about 0.1% of yearly income.

Over the decade, the Bidens reported a total of $3,690 in charitable donations, or 0.2% of their income.

Biden spokesman David Wade said in an e-mail that the Bidens "also contribute to their favorite causes with their time as well as their checkbooks." Wade said Jill Biden has volunteered to help military families and the family "pitched in driving supplies to the Gulf Coast after Hurricane Katrina."

If you don't want to give away your money to the government - you're UNPATRIOTIC

If you believe you have a right to hold on to money you have EARNED — you are SELFISH

If you want to know about my past before you elect me President — you are a RACIST

If you worship God — you are BITTER and BACKWARD

If you believe the 2nd amendment was meant to describe a right YOU have to bear arms — you are NAIVE and UNEDUCATED

You deserve the right to translate your hard work and success into whatever you want. If you want to get 50% or 5% to charity you should be able to do that. If you want to choose your charity you should have the right to do that.

The more you give to the government the more you give to crackheads and other undeserving people of charity.

Ronald Wilson Reagan “ Government’s view of the economy, could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it.If it keeps moving regulate it. and if stops moving subsidize it.”

Regan cut taxes. He eased the yoke.

As it is in the Soviet Union, those who have money have the dascha’s and become oligarchs. Here, same thing will happen. Dems love loopholes, they can bash them AND use them, as most are multimillionaries. What is good for the goose is never good for the gander.

Whatever was more truly spoken of Barack 0bama than this?

It only stands to reason that where there's sacrifice, there's someone collecting the sacrificial offerings. Where there's service, there is someone being served. The man who speaks to you of sacrifice is speaking of slaves and masters, and intends to be the master.
-- Ayn Rand

More here, near the bottom.
