I put up the Olney AAR late this week to keep all the political threads from covering it up. The MODs did their best to keep the political crap out of the Activism/Chapter, but alas, they couldn’t. A THANKS to the MODs for what they did before getting swamped.
Second, I want to Thank BufordP for a GREAT Olney AAR last week. It received almost 600 views after being buried by crap political threads in the first day it was up.
We had a new Legionnaire show up today - George, Army, Vietnam, early 60s. While he said that he’ll be coming out more often, he will be retiring this coming summer and moving out of state. Smart guy.
The list of all Troop Supporters include: Legionnaires Glenn (USMC - Iwo Jima),Halsey (USMC - Korea), Frank (Army - Korea), George (Army - early Vietnam), and Lurker Bill, Cindy_True_Supporter, [Mr] of Mr.Mrs.RedWhiteBlue with three of his kids, my grandkids, and myself, [Mr] T.

[Mrs] T was still feeling under the weather and didn’t make it today, so none of her famous pics of waving passerbys. But they were there, honking and waving.
But there were two pics of note. BELOW LEFT: This patriotic truck headed east to pick up about 30 very patriotic motorcyclists. About 20 minutes after snapping this pic the cyclists came past us - waving and cheering. The truck was following them. It was a very warm & fuzzy ride by. Unfortunately, not being accustomed to taking the pics, I missed taking their pics. BELOW RIGHT: Two of our grandkids the previous night get ready for trick or treating. The one with the broken elbow, a 3 pin break, did not make it out to Olney.
WARNING TO FREEPERS ATTENDING OLNEY - Some new money making have been installed on north bound Georgia Avenue right before you enter the main business district. Slow your speed after the light at King William Drive.

As always, the D.C. Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect. Briefly, they are: No violence, no profanity, no racism, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.
But a lot of verbal engagement in Olney is always welcome.

Here’s hoping our troops are able to wrap a lot of things up before the end of January ‘09.
Our Support the Troops Rallies may end at WR and Olney sometime in ‘09, but I’m sure we’ll have more to do in front of the White House.
Bring your cameras because I have a feeling there will be a lot of goons out there trying to intimidate us. They’ll walk right out of the WH gate to do it.
