Several posters have mentioned this over the past week, but I want to bring it up again. Governor Sarah Palin is under attack from both the right (faux right) and the left, blaming her for McCain's loss.

We all know the truth- few of us could ever have supported McCain without her.

Freepers, it is time to counter the attacks and encourage Governor Palin. Let's overwhelm her with thank-you cards, letters, flowers, etc.

Here is what you can do:

I guess not, but typically families have a lot of that stuff....if I were to send something, I would send something that identifies the state where I live...since I moved to PA I like to send people Amish handmade baskets, or Hershey choc (alhtough one can buy Hershey anywhere...), etc etc.

That's why I suggested that people send something from their state, a box of pralines or pecans from Ga. Being from Michigan, I may opt for a jar cherry jelly and some Murdick fudge from Mac Is.

Even being in Michigan I don't have a lot of cherry jelly around.

If you meant the stuffed bear, I'm sure Piper and later Trig would love it.

I’m sorry I didn’t read that post but we’re on the same page in that regard.

I am sure too that the kids will like toys but since she has a large family and a supportive extended family, they likely have enough toys...i did see a post about donating to the Down’s Syndrome Foundation.

I sent her a thank you letter yesterday. She did one bang-up job on that campaign, and we conservatives have her and her wonderful family to thank for bringing us back to life this fall.

Plus! Talk about Grace under Pressure. She walked through the burning flames like a true Daughter of the King. The amount of vitriol that was lobbed at her and her family! Who could stand it without crumbling? But she never lost her stride.

Oh, I just thought she was wonderful.

And I think even less of the east-coast elites, if that is possible.

I think she should stay as Governor. THAT is a real job. Senators just have to compromise and make deals and get along, and they don’t do any real thing besides grubbing at the trough. Governors actually have to DO something.

Let’s take our party and rename it and start afresh. We could cut loose of the barnacles. The east coasters think they own IT too, and many of them jumped ship, anyway.

I am reminded of Gideon. The Lord told him to send all his mediocre warriors home and only to keep the feisty ones, He would do the rest.

Thanks for posting the phone number for the RNC. I just called and wanted to pass along some information.

You get an automated menu and I used option 2 (political) so that I could get a real human being. They want you to use option 1 and just leave a voicemail.

I said a) that I only donated AFTER McCain chose Palin and that I donated heavily and b) would STRONGLY reconsider whether I would donate in the future based upon how this is dealt with.

The gentleman I spoke with said they are actively trying to find out who this is and deal with it. He said the RNC feels Sarah did a great job and are disgusted with what is being said (true or not, I don’t know, but that’s what he said).

I told him McCain better man up, call a press conference and address these scurrilous rumors unless he wants me & all my FREEPER FRIENDS to quit supporting the RNC in the future! I said this was solely McCain’s responsibility and he needs to put an end to these rumors immediately AND name names of the backstabbers so no one will hire them in the future.

Now I’ll sit back and see if it helps at all.

P.S. I did ask him for McCain’s cell phone number which he (not surprisingly) refused to give me. I said then YOU better get a strong message to him because everyone I know is MAD, MAD, MAD about this!
