As the giddy minions gear-up for "President-elect" Obama's news conference today and the transition of power over the coming weeks, what is your view of the new "President-elect"?
Do you consider Obama "Your President"? Will you partake in past conventional acceptance and show respect for him holding such Office? or.. will you decide to not support him as President?
Personally, I do not consider him my "President". Obviously, this pains me because as an American I would want to feel great about supporting whomever is duly elected. But Obama was pushed through, in my opinion, not vetted - just shuffled through the process by the Liberal Press (lamestream media). He was NEVER challenged on the negatives of his associations and never even specifically took the time to answer questions on his Birth Certificate or to answer the Flag pin controversy or his 'hands at his waist' during the National Anthem. The largest issue of divide is his stance on abortion. Secondly is his liberal influence which terrifies me in how he might handle the placement of Judges on the Supreme Court and the many other, but still critical lower Courts. Thirdly is how he might dilute the Military and mishandle the War.
Who is this President-elect to you?
Is he "Your President"? If so...........why? And, if not..............why not?

Unless you revoke your citizenship, you are an American and your President elect is Obama. He will be your President. The Dems hated Bush and he was their President too, whether they cried about it or not. One side wins, one side loses, get over it. To blather on “He’s not my President” is so damn juvenile it makes my 7 year old look mature when he goes into meltdown over a lost board game.
Yes, this was a big stakes election. Yes we lost. Yes the next 4 years may very well suck and have changes we detest. But life goes on. Just like I tell my 7 year old.
So whine or cry a little more and get it out of your system. He’s your President elect and that is a simple statement of fact at this point in time. You certainly don’t have to like it, but my God, deal with it. Or are we going to take our ball and run home crying to mommy because we didn’t win the game? Sheesh.
Hmmmm... this one is very difficult.
I was in the military, and we were taught we salute the uniform, not the man. So I respect the office, not the man.
However, I am adopting a wait and see. If Obama governs as if he cares about America, even if we disagree, I can accept that. If Obama governs as I expect, like a Manchurian candidate who is bent on America’s deconstruction, that is when he will disqualify himself as being my president.
I viewed Clinton the same way - he was the president, but not "my" president. I respect the office, but not necessarily the man."
That is how I see it, as well.

When sworn in on January 20th, he will be.
Doesn’t mean I have to like it.
Lacking any proof of inelegibility persuasive to a judge (COLB detractors, the ball is in YOUR court), he will be the legitimate occupant of the office of POTUS, with all the power and responsibility and privileges that go therewith.
“I don’t like him” does not make him not my - or your - President.
The office of President exists regardless of who is in it.
Respect the office, if not the occupant.
Suck it up, get used to the phrase “President Obama”, and cope.
“He’s not my President” is symptomatic of Obama Derangement Syndrome (and is no less idiodic/debilitating than Bush or Palin Derangement Syndrome).
I am a US citizen. Obama is president elect of the US. That makes him my president. Because he is my president, I have the right, until further notice, to criticize his actions and ideology.
He will be every bit as much “my” president as President Bush was to the Democrats.
You can take what you want from that.
Next question: How many thing a bunch of newbies are abusing the system.

Grow up. He was elected to assume the office of President of the United States. You are a citizen of the United States. Therefore, he is your president.
Unless you’re not a citizen.
Nobody is saying you have to like it. But to deny the existence of the relationship is delusional and illogical.
