CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham said Friday the GOP lost the White House because the party was tainted by corruption, overspending and "sometimes came across as a bunch of grumpy old men."

. . . . .

"All we have to do is go back to the basics of fiscal conservatism, with a smile and come up with new ways to communicate with the younger voter," said Graham, who captured 58 percent of the vote in winning re-election against a little-known opponent.

Does anyone know if Lindsey Graham was once a woman?

No Lindsey’s womanhood happened the day they castrated him as part of his initiation into the senate.

Hard to tell he may be just on those pre-change meds.

The best thing about McCain’s defeat is that we won’t have his “best friend,” Lindsey Graham, paraged before us day after day.

I agree with you on open primaries. Also think it is time for Iowa, NH, and Michigan to go to the back of the pack and not be first in the Nation. We are having people from blue states pick our candidates.

Would light-loafered Lindsey please take a long hike off a short pier?

This POS originally ran for congress SWEARING to term-limit himself. No permanent congress critter, he, no sir! Nope, just a short stint as a citizen pol, then back home.

Lying sack of toro mierda was seduced by the Washington power game, now he plays holier-than-thou.

Lindsey, remember your self-term-limit promise?

KEEP IT!

Is that a bad thing?

"...sometimes came across as a bunch of grumpy old men. We have got to knock that off."

Yep... you (Lindsey) came off like a grumpy old mean vindictive arrogant man (the man part is questionable), calling Republicans "bigots" who didn't agree with you.

Somebody get Lindsey a mirror.

Oh, yeah... as part of that "fiscal conservatism" you are supposedly touting, will you please quit voting for massive bailouts and carbon taxes?

The fundamental message is that the government is not very good at anything it does. The secondary message is that the government pisses people off constantly. The third part is that the unintended consequences of anything the government does are a myriad of special interest considerations from a preference for union labor to racial and gender quotas to expensive programs concerning social justice, safety beyond the bounds of probability, to pork and set-asides. The government needs to get out of the business of how we raise our kids and out of the business of local education in every way. The government does a decent job with the armed forces, a fair job with weather forecasts, a tolerable job in foreign relations, and for the rest of it they are clueless and confused. Fire most of them and save megabucks. If there is anything worth doing that would be left undone, the private sector will take care of it, or the state and local governments can do it better than the feds and with more sensitivity to local wants and needs. Good enough for government work once meant quality workmanship, craftsmanship or skill. What does it mean now?

"sometimes came across as a bunch of grumpy old men."

As when Lindsey called the Republican voting base "bigots" because we wanted the government to enforce the law?

BS

The reasons they lost were:

Nobody likes a tough long war, even Winston Churchill was fired after a great successful war.

I fault Bush for not defending himself more against the Democrats attack on the war, soldiers and the President.
What stopped President Bush from using the pulpit of his office?

The economy tanked along with banks in the last 6 weeks and the voters were too dumb to find out it was Democrats that caused it all. So instead of firing Democrats, they hired more and a new Democrat President.

The voters were too lazy, just pointed at President Bush for everything and left out all truth and history.

The other issue is the press. They should be considered an arm of the Democrat party and Republicans should be allowed to get free equal time in their papers and TV shows to respond IMO.
