Writing in the National Catholic Reporter, John Allen, a leading American Vatican watcher, said the Vatican would have "deep differences" with the Obama administration over abortion and embryonic stem cell research. Catholic Ping List

Too little too late Pope B. The Vatican let American bishops go wobbly on abortion for years in order to keep the Sunday collections coming in. With 0bama wining 55% of the Catholic vote, the Vatican has no pull.

Obama subscribes to black liberation theology, and the racist rantings of his former minister, who inspired the title of his stupid, egotistical “Audacity” book. So I doubt Obama will give a damn about what the Vatican says.
Still, I think it is great that the Vatican is immediately calling his stem cell plan exactly what it is.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but pseudo-Christian crypto-Muslim athiests don’t really pay much heed to the Vatican.

The Pope should send those Vatican guards in the colorful suits and large hats over to “attack” America, like in the Peter Sellers movie.

Embryonic stem cell research is failed science.Other sources of stem cells have actually yielded results.
Obama is just giving a nod to the mass murderers of the multi-billion dollar abortion industry who gave him money.

I'm thinking Obama is a write-off on this issue. The dear Cardinal is to be commended for his attempt to rap the Dear Leader on the knuckles, but this can't be handled out in the open anymore. We're going to have to go back to living in the catacombs and hiding our faith. This ain't your fathers’ faith anymore, folks. Change hearts, because you won't be able to legislate the change of heart needed to stop this guy or the millions and millions of others like him. They consider this a sacrament of their faith.
“Right to Die” is popping up now with a call for “Safe Suicide”. This is going to be a losing battle with people who believe there's such a thing as safe suicides and safe abortions.

Obamanation is at odds with the Church of Jesus Christ. Could it be his Muslim faith?

in response to the President-elect's intention to lift the US ban on embryonic stem cell research. THERE IS NO US BAN on embryonic stem cell research. There is a LIMITATION on the use of federal tax dollars for embryonic stem cell research -- STILL not a ban as even federal tax dollars are available for research on embryonic stem cells from specific existing lines at the time of W's EO..

I’m reminded of Stalin, who when reminded of the Pope’s displeasure said; “The Pope you say...how many divisions does he have?”

His views are supported by Joe Biden, the Vice-President-elect, who is a Roman Catholic. That's good enough for me.

If the bishops had been doing their jobs for the last 40 years, we wouldn’t have had a generation of Catholic voters thinking it was okay to vote for someone like Obama.

Mr Obama has supported stem cell research to find cures for diseases such as Alzheimer's. His views are supported by Joe Biden, the Vice-President-elect, who is a Roman Catholic. Biden is a Roman Catholic in name only. Obama is as evil as Biden is stupid. There is NO sanctity of life with those two, and I feel pretty sure that they're eventually going to want to euthanize the elderly and the sick. God will deal with both of them, but until then, perhaps they could use some stem cells to grow Obama a heart, and Biden a brain.

That’s it. “L’Osservatore Romano” is off the Obama plane...
