KISS YOUR JOB GOODBYE
NEALZ NUZE ^ | November 25, 2008 | NEAL BOORTZ

My God! The unions are actually going to pull this one off! Their unionization-by-intimidation bill is actually going to pass! Now just ask yourself .. what would you do if you were an employer and you felt that the Democrats were on the verge of passing the union's "card check" bill. Well .. I'll tell you what I would do. I would be looking at any automation that I could find that would reduce my workforce. I would then go with all of the offshore options I could find that would allow me to get rid of more employees. Then I would go to staffing agencies for the rest of my workforce. The people working in my place of business would not be working for me. They would be working for a staffing agency. If they want to unionize something, they can unionize the staffing agency. If the Democrats bring us "card check" along with an expansion of the Family Leave Act my guess is that there are a lot of employers out there who will do everything they can to get rid of employees.

Unions played a big part in destroying the big three automakers. Now they can play a similar role with your business. Aren't you workers glad you voted for Obama? You might have voted yourself right slap out of a job.

“Staffing agencies”- sounds like a good growth opportunity for entrepreneurs. We have a friend who started a temp staff agency years ago and has become a wealthy man

WIll the idiots that voted for Obama realize they made the biggest mistake ever, or will they STILL try to pin this BS on Bush?

Conservatives are going to have to mount a huge phone/e-mail deluge of Congress to keep this from happening. But sadly, it’s likely to pass because we’ve turned the entire country over to libs. They own the schools, government, judiciary, media, and entertainment. And - virtually all of those sectors are fully unionized.

Ther used to be an A-20 down in Bimini next to the airport. It was not crashed but out of service. Don’t know hat happened to it. My Dad was a tail gunner in an A-20 “Able Fox”.

They’ll never admit they were wrong. If they had a conscience they wouldnt have voted for him to begin with.

Do you really think dems have a conscience about their world view?

Oh there is going to be some massive layoffs alright - Im hoping the market pops above 8900 again and Im gonna be all out. This is the time to prepare things are gonna get real bad real soon. Start stocking up on ammo, ammo and food.

Obama will have no choice but to unleash our troops against the people of America. A dependent, lazy, multicultural dumbed down society is going to wreak havoc on the administration by demanding more and more freebies. Get ready to have him take everything you have by force in order to feed the idiots.

It ain’t passed yet.

A lot of democrats see this as it is, even McGovern opposes it. This is a largely unpopular measure, if the Republicans make an issue of it, it could easily fail with the passive support of democrats looking for reelection. Even more likely, I can see Obama shuffling this act to the bottom of the deck for later action.

Big Labor doesn’t have any place else to go, and Obama has other fish to fry.

Unions are desperate. They have been a shrinking force in the economy for the past 25 years. Ultimately, card check will be the death of unions.

Americans have already figured out that union shops go out of business.

Easy answer. The latter.

I agree, but if the world goes to hell in a short 2 years, i would think even the most die hard Democrat might have to concede that maybe “they” made a mistake and that the Republicans were probably right.

What allows a union strike to work is not that the union members can walk off the job (which would otherwise be just a mass resignation). What makes the strike work is their ability to prevent (using violence and sabotage if necessary) anybody ELSE from replacing them on the job.

If all your production-line workers are from three or four staffing agencies, then you can dismiss them all, and legally bar them from coming near your place of work.

That’s an optimistic view that I do not think will come to fruition. There is too much in-fighting amongst the GOP, and the message is not only in disarray, the MSM is going to make it even more blurry during the midterm campaigns.

Elections have become tainted and will become more so in 2010.

“This is a largely unpopular measure, if the Republicans make an issue of it, it could easily fail ... “

If our current crop of Republicans had a single pair among them, they’d point lots of things out. As it is, they’ll whine, then roll over.

These are dark, dark days in Amerika.

With so many specialized highly degreed workers, tech people AND factory workers of all stripes looking for work- temp staffing agencies could clean up

I cannot concieve of a business save perhaps the very largest, going all-union. Especially in the economy we are likely to have throughout Obummer’s entire first term

It will be interesting to see what happens with WalMart
Personally I hope the family stands up for its principles, takes the money and runs. They could make another huge fortune in Russia or Eastern Europe

That is a very gloomy forecast. Sort of a downward spiral. It almost seems too real now that Freepers will have to resort to meeting in secret or fear of death or torture from the evil captives.

They will realize their error when someone confesses to the murder of Jimmy Hoffa and produces the embalmed body as evidence against themselves.
