CBS News: Obama & Right-Wing Conspiracy Theorists
CBS News ^ | Nov. 30, 2008 | Michael Schaffer

They don't have political rallies to bring them together anymore, but it's no secret that a lot of people out there don't much like Barack Obama. The president-elect, according to his more fervent campaign-season detractors, has a raft of unforgivable faults: He's a socialist, a Muslim, an actual love-child of Malcolm X. His birth certificate was missing, his book had been ghost-written by William Ayers, and his wife, "Mrs. Grievance," as a National Review cover dubber her, was perennially on the cusp of getting caught ranting against the white man. The only thing keeping the Illinois senator's infamy from going public is the quiescence of the liberal media. Perhaps you remember.

MSM is preparing the ground.,

[D]issenters were found insane and locked up in asylums.

Until the media is found to be insane and they find that dissension can be a freedom giving attitude for them personally.

Then they will be dissenters after it's too late.

Great, the MSM can't ignore the stories anymore. That's real progress.

I would take as a positive the things against Barry that didn't appear on that list.

For instance, "he pals around with terrorists", is a charge that HAS proven to be correct.

The guns are firing to discredit the entire BC effort. Marginalize and mock the opposition with all the media at your disposal.

It’s going to be heavy fire this week folks. Leo’s suit goes for review on Friday. Conservative radio better step up even though this isn’t a democrat or republican issue.

Fight back with known facts and clear arguments. 90% of the opposition has never heard of the US constitution so that is a good start.

So tiresome. May the truth out, whatever it may be, as soon as possible...

Actually this should be viewed as progress vis a vis the The Great Birth Certificate Issue.

The MSM has finally recognized that the issue cannot be ignored and so they are starting to generate articles attacking the BC issue as kooky right wing stuff. That way they cannot be accused of spiking the story and they cannot be accused of being un-PC or kooky themselves. It is simply a means of immunizing themselves from a (in the MSM's view) "bad decision" on Friday by the Supremes to take the Donofrio case. It is unlikely that they will take the case but it is possible and, of course, the correct thing for them to do. But if they did, the MSM would look very bad if they appeared surprised by a story that is being covered in great depth by their main competitor and future ruler - the Internet Blogger Community.

As opposed to someone who: had pretended to give birth to the love child of her daughter, went on a wild $150,000 shopping spree at Nieman Marcus, refused to join other candidates on stage because of the abortion and drilling in Alaska views, tried to get her ex-brother-in-law fired improperly, thought Africa was a country, had an affair with her husband's ex-business partner, made victims of rape pay for their own rape kits, said she could see Alaska from her house, had a "witch doctor" as a spiritual adviser, cut the special needs budget, banned books, was a member of a fringe party, forced creationism to be taught in schools, and so many others.

Since when does CBS News care what right-wingers think about Obama? What difference does it make in their world?

For months now, the MSM has been stone cold silent. We now have CBS News printing New Republic as fact, MSNBC, San Francisco Chronicle, ABC News, etc. all coming out with defensive hit pieces. They realize that this is real and they can no longer ignore it and wish it away. Time for them to do what they do best ... attack and try to discredit conservatives.

We want to see a legite birth certificate and Obama would rather pay thousands to lawyers instead of showing it...We are the crazy ones!
It's very interesting that this story doesn't go more into the issue of the birth certificate. Go ahead, CBS, debunk it. We dare you.

CBS snooze. Network news, the alphabet news, not seen here in 15 years. The BS Meter went off too much. The doom and gloom, “America sucks” theme was just too much to take. The blame American first, last and always network newswriters and newsreaders....how dull. Dinosaur Media Death Watch in full speed ahead mode. They put their religion of liberalism above all, even above the survival of their professions. Good riddance to them when they finally all die off and get real jobs.

They lied, they got him elected, they will be held accountable by history !

Not if they're the ones writing the history. Leftists are masters of rationalization and subtle distortion.

That's unlikely to change anytime soon.

Will CBS ever mention Delaware AG Beau and his "special treatment" of Larry Sinclair at the cusp of Joe Biden being named VP candidate? ....crickets....

Whether he has any credibility or not, you've got to wonder about all that. Wasn't he locked up in Delaware for several days, with no apparent legal basis?

You mention the "ick" factor. Two key voting blocs, that put Obama over the top, would have been particularly susceptible to that, repulsed by men on the "down low" as they are.

I remember a few, very left-leaning friends from college, freaking out when we took a road trip north once ... they hated the very idea of being in "fascist, corporatist" Delaware. Wonder why it's suddenly acceptable to that mindset now? We all know the answer, but it's going to be fun rubbing their noses in it.

“BTW, It has been proven that Barry actually is a socialist....”

You are correct!
If you have not yet, please take a look at http://www.newzeal.blogspot.com/, the articles listed on the right side of the page describing O’s connections to the communists/socialists will make your blood run either cold or very hot.

O has drawn David Axelrod close to him. Axelrod has a career background with communism, commencing with his mother, Myril and later, the likes of Don Rose and David Canter, both with solid communist credentials.
Bomb-thrower Bill Ayers has long been O’s mentor. Ayers came out decades ago, has fought the long war and is not about to see it slip away: “Our enemy is U.S. imperialism, the enemy of all humankind,” Bill Ayers, Educational Secretary, SDS, 1969.
Frank Davis, an outed communist, a close family friend and perhaps more, was from Chicago.
The president of the CPUSA is quoted as saying with regard to O: “We are speaking to a friend.”

It is disgusting that our MSM and our Republican politicians did not focus on this during the campaign.

We are in a non-violent civil war as Marxism and Capitalism struggle for the government of our nation. All “they” need is enough civil unrest to argue it would be impossible to conduct free and open elections.

Stand up America! The presidential election is not over!
We voted for electors, not the individual candidates. The electors vote on or after December 15, 2009. The results are then presented to a joint session of Congress and OBJECTIONS may be heard on January 8, 2009 pursuant to the 20th amendment and Public Law 110-430.

Let’s not gamble that the lawsuits now pending will produce meaningful results prior to Jan 20, ’09, let’s take action now!

...said she could see Alaska from her house. Yeah, well, that has to be true. I live on a hill above Fairbanks and I can see Alaska from my house. :-) You can see Russia from Alaska, but it requires that you go to the Alaskan islands off the west coast. From there, you can virtually throw a rock into Russia. (Not literally, but almost)

It has been proven that Barry actually is a socialist

Gosh, how could ANY thinker who totes an ounce of Constitutionally driven, freedom minded, and personal concern think otherwise?

Wow much showing does it take for this socialist minded individual to show his socialist, anti-American directives for a conservative individual in doubt to realize what he stands for?

Betty Boop would appear better suited for the position of POTUS.

Boop, boop dee boop!

At least Betty was American minded.

Even Cabbage Patch Dolls have birth certificates. But too much to expect from the President?

"...each "kid" came with a special name and birth certificate."

Even Cabbage Patch Dolls have birth certificates.

Wasn't that part of the cost of acquiring a Cabbage Patch Doll?
