Well, according to the apologists for the war on terror, we can only fight in Afghanistan because bin Laden had his base of operations there at the time of 9/11. According to them, we can’t have military operations anywhere else because then we’re violating international law, etc.
And we can only fight Al Qaeda according to them, because Al Qaeda attacked us. We’re not supposed to be in a war with other allies of Al Qaeda because these other groups didn’t specifically carry out 9/11.

As I am watching this, I am reminded of film clips in the late 1980s when Sadam Hussein came to power in Iraq. Many people cow-towed to the supreme leader and had very glowing words that honored him. Today, as Obama’s team is announced, they each read from a pre-written script that honors our current supreme leader elect.

Not only did Hillary speak first, and longer, but she’s standing in the spotlight next to Obama whereas “vice-president elect” Biden is off to the side. Well, now Biden gets to speak - from a written script of course.
