Okay... these stories are getting really old, but I thought I would post this here to make the point again how low the MSM has gone. This was posted as a link to a blog on the front page of our local (albeit liberal) paper. What's funny is that it references a Politico story that I did not even see on their front page. Of course the comments at both sites are the usual leftist dribble, but I was happy to see that even a lot of Palin haters are growing tired of these stories.
It would really be nice if the media would report on such things as the education and health care plans that Sarah announced in AK yesterday, and that their FY2009 budget will be in the black despite falling oil prices. Too much to expect I suppose... Links for those interested:

This is no surprise.. The Houston Chron would bash her if they found out she had a period. They have to be the second or third worst paper in the country.

Big deal, John Edwards shops there too.

Beyond the grass roots/base folks, Palin is a tabloid story to the masses. The stuff People magazine would publish. And the soft/tabloid news stuff sells. That's why it's being printed. It's not necessarily to destroy her, but it's gossipy and gossip sell.
Beyond the grass roots folks, people aren't interested in her policies or other things political junkies find interesting.
Most people beyond grass routes/base are more interested in whether she's done it on a snow mobile over how she would deal with Iran and Pakistan.

They left out the interesting part: that same store is on Bwarney Fwank’s personal shopping list, too.

Caught Andrea Mitchell sniping about this today.
Its becoming very clear Sarah Palin intimidates quite a few women in politics, on both sides of the political aisle.
That said...no wonder the First Dude is always smiling.

if i were her, i’d let slip that it’s a bit creepy to have people looking through her underwear purchases... equating it to crazed stalkers or somehow linking it to being very uncool and lame.
i think the press may back off around that point (if they thought the public would agree)

I used to work in retail ages ago and I don’t buy bras and panties, but if she was shopping at Saks and Nordstroms she probably could have brought better quality lingerie there than she could have at VS.
