Decision on Obama citizenship issue pending

The Supreme Court held off Friday on deciding whether to grant a hearing in a long-shot lawsuit that would decide whether Barack Obama can constitutionally become president as a "natural born" U.S. citizen.

The Friday list of court orders that denies or grants hearings did not mention the lawsuit, which says Mr. Obama should be disqualified from the presidency because he purportedly acquired the same British citizenship that his father had when he was born.

One thing this controversy certainly proved beyond a shadow of a doubt - is that the DNC totally failed in their fiduciary responsibility to confirm that the candidates their party put forth for the office of President - at least satisfied the minimal Constitutional requirements to be eligible...

If Obama is disqualified - they have to bear the full burden of responsibility for attempting to make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear — minus the lipstick....

Just imagine — these damned ignorant and incompetent Democrats have control of Congress, the White House and will stack the Supreme Court - and can’t even manage to field a candidate with UNCHALLENGED credentials and qualifications....

It definitely doesn't sound like its as dead in the water as everyone at all the "law blogs" (aka washed up law profs) was saying. Particularly when taken in consideration with Barry's Hawaii trip. Was his little sojourn out there on relatively short notice or was I just not paying attention to his divine movements like I should have been?

if there is a legally cognizable issue as to eligibility, the SCOTUS must (and, I believe, would) do its job, regardless of timing.

I think the only other Justice who might stand with the four Conservatives would be Anthony Kennedy (Reagan appointee). We can forget Souter, Breyer, Ginsburg and Stevens. And, Kennedy is “iffy”.

There could be rioting, however, if it can be proven that BO forged a COLB, then I’d assume a vast majority of those who voted for him will direct their anger at him and the DNC.

I would like to see ACORN and the DNC sued under RICO laws. Both groups certainly practice some or all of bribery, extortion, embezzlement, fraud, theft, obstruction of justice, racketeering, money laundering, bankruptcy or securities fraud (the recent Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac scandal comes to mind!), etc. Both groups certainly practice racketeering: “the process of forming or running an organization to operate or commit or otherwise execute ongoing criminal activities.”

sorry for the ignorance, I’m new here to the Freepers. Can you explain what a LEO is.

I’ve been following the case here on FR for some time and have sent letters to both my State Senate and Rep regarding Obama’s eligibility. Being from Michigan, I’m not expecting much from either.
