Republicans Fear Al Franken Stealing Votes

With votes for comedian Al Franken mysteriously appearing out of thin air, steadily narrowing the gap between him and Sen. Norm Coleman, the stench of corruption becomes more and more pungent.

*Snip*

According to the Coleman forces, the ballots were not counted on Election Day and were not kept in sealed boxes. It says the request was made amid "increasing questions about unexplained and improbable shifts in vote counts."

The most recent vote tally has Coleman leading Franken by only a couple hundred votes. A recount is planned.

Said the Coleman campaign in a statement: "As improbable and statistically dubious chunks of votes appear and disappear, overwhelmingly benefiting Al Franken

"Minnesota has a history of fair and clean elections," the campaign noted, "and we are committed to ensuring that this election is no different. That is why it is so troubling to us that instead of the normal slight changes in vote totals one would expect during this process, we are now seeing huge chunks of votes appearing and disappearing -- statistically dubious and improbable shifts that are overwhelmingly accruing to the benefit of Al Franken.

Sheehan added that there are reports that during the night, "100 new ballots were reported to the Secretary of State's office from the Mountain Iron area. These previously unreported ballots contained 100 votes for President-elect Barack Obama and DFL candidate Al Franken.

Thanks to Ann Couter's Website where I found this under her sidebar "QUOTATIONS FROM CHAIRMAN ANN"

WHY HAVE REPUBLICANS CONCEDED THE HUNDREDS OF VOTES FOR FRANKEN THAT MYSTERIOUSLY "APPEARED" IN THE DAYS AFTER THE ELECTION?

Right, much better to wait until after the damage is done and the fraud has been ratified by the Senate to act rather than complain now when the issue is at least one that the media might report and the damage might be prevented.

“We’ll count and recount until we get the count we need.”

Serious fraud.

And it really made a difference in Washington State when the courts ruled on it. Now if it was a Repub then the whole election would have to be redone.

I never liked Al, I never will, (Stewart Smally was so terrible, I need not comment further), the fact that Libtards steal elections is nothing new, so in the end, Al Frankensheite will win, (beacuse apparently some folk have little or no spine), and the Idiot boy’s gonna be “sworn in”.
What, exactly, is this dolt swearing too? The Con? God? No.

What I would want to say right now is within my bounds, within all citezens bounds, but then again, I guess we don’t count for very much.

The made up votes carry the way, as they did with our national election, excuse me while I puke and pray at the same time.

It was really only a smidge over 4 years with that little prick Judas Jim getting us early in ‘01, so you can really only claim from Jan ‘03-Jan ‘07 after we won back the Senate. Problem really is we lost our balls in the Fall of ‘95 after the gov’t “shutdown” showdown. Bubba won because we blinked, and he got his mojo back and his 2nd term.

Ahhh, right. That'll happen.

More likely Franken will go to DC with the Senate leadership blessings.

Remember, the media is a branch of the DNC.

Recount is over

And so, now I take it, the issue moves on to the matter of the challenges. Here is an area of great danger for a Republican because it moves away from an objective count to subjective judgment about the legitimacy of the challenges.

History has shown that the Senate of the United States under its constitutional power to seat or not to seat a putative victor will install a Democrat who lost the objective count when Democrats control the Senate as they do today. Therefore, the matter of the challenges becomes a very treacherous place for a Republican because all Franken needs to do is to contrive a plausible rationale for a victory and the Democrats in the Senate are likely to oblige. The Democrats power in the Senate is not subject to check by the Third Branch so there will be no relief there. Such exercise of their discretion is purely political. Therefore, the matter is now a political issue and that means that we had better be busy winning the public-relations battle. We must make it so egregious that the Democrats will not dare take the political risk. Hence my post in opposition to any suggestion that the battle should not be joined.

Now is definitely the time to panic, or at least move aggressively in the public-relations sphere.

For those of you who have taken a minute to look at the results rather than scream “The Democrats are stealing the election!”, the recount has increased the margin for Coleman. This process has actually reaffirmed my faith in my state’s electoral process. I hope our reputation isn’t tainted simply because we had a very close election.

Yep. And that spineless stupidity basically spelled the end of Newt, too. The issue was entirely ours to win, and to this day I am baffled as to why the Republicans caved since normal, traditional, taxpaying American families barely notice it when government “shuts down”. It’s mainly the politicians and other parasites who wring their hands and squeal like stuck pigs.

It was the MSM that played the key role in defeating Newt and the Republican Revolution in The Great Budget Battle of 1995.

Recall that every evening's newscast led off with a sob story about the government shutdown. The sleighs of Yellowstone were closed down and the chil'run wouldn't have Christmas, or some such balderdash.

A hundred million American citizens were watching -- and about thirty million of them were cheering, ten million were complaining...and the rest didn't give a crap.

But almost 300 Republican Senators and Congressmen (and their wives) were watching, too. And they got spooked...

I understand. That is precisely why I closed my checkbook over two years ago. I simply got sick of the cowardice as too many Republicans ran like scared mice from the dying, scumbag Democrat, "mainstream" newsrooms.

Everybody needs to chill out. For those of you who have taken a minute to look at the results rather than scream “The Democrats are stealing the election!”

It's a fact, should we continue to ignore it?

If it was screamed from the rooftops maybe something could be done about it.

Just reporting the news stories out there.

The democrats have been stealing elections for decades, and the GOP lets them. Kennedy is a good example from back in the last century.

Especially if it is a strong conservative, like Dornan.

Remember how the democrats stole that election and let B-1 swing in the wind?

Voter fraud has to be stopped.

The liberals are shouting “chill out” too, and that's probably what will happen and voter fraud and buying elections will continue.

Your post highlights my point. Everybody is so paranoid that they haven’t recognized that the recount process actually INCREASED Coleman’s lead. How can they be stealing it if they’re losing? That makes no sense.

Now, if there were evidence of fraud, of course that should be highlighted, but that’s not the case here. We have a reputation for clean elections in this state and I’m happy to see it stay in tact.

OK, you're right.

There is no voter fraud.

The democrats and liberals would never even attempt anything like that.

Millions of non-citizens have never voted.

“Everybody is so paranoid”

Increased his lead to what?

Franken and his comrades changed votes long before the recount even started.

Coleman's lead hasn't increased, it's gone down.

Is the recount over, and how much did Coleman win by?

I wasn’t discussing honesty. The ballots that are disputed have been judged and counted by the press. If none are changed, Coleman wins. But the margin will be a lot closer than 700.

However, the process has been very open and honest so far.

Franken found a ballot that had a vote for Obama for president.

In the race that Franken was in on the same ballot, the same person filled in the boxes by everyone of the candidates.

Franken said because that person voted for Obama, he must have voted for him.

There have been hundreds of examples like that.

Franken and his people changed hundreds of votes even before the recount even started.

The democrat Sec of State looked the other way, and even the Republican Govorner said there was no problem.

I figure if someone calls that "Open and honest" then they would also believe that Obama will fix everything.

Of course you didn't see any of that news that was all over FR for days.

You seem to think that Franken doesn't need to be watched, he's open and honest.

Well, I don't trust him.
