That’s the way I read it too. That said, I think too that Fitz knows he may be gone come 1-20-09 and pull the trigger before then on anything else that may be there (Rezco has been singing). Time will tell...

If Rezko is talking, Obama will be implicated. Fitz is just going to make sure there are no stones unturned first. If Obama fires him, he will go public.
I'm sure the Senate Judiciary committee with do an extensive investigation into any firing of Fitzpatrick. /sarcasm
Obama committed a crime when he failed to report the attempted extortion by Blagojevich. Like trying to bribe a police officer. You can’t ignore that. Obama is guilty of a crime.
You betcha he wanted to stop it... as soon as he realized the governor was interested in an Obama administration appointment and that he might be calling Hussein to discuss details in the coming days.
This indictment doesn’t matter anymore. Obama will pull the plug on Fitzgerald and pardon Blagovitch.
