No petition for certiorari was filed. Just the request for an emergency writ. Look at the docket entry and the filings listed.
Denied without word or explanation? Up to now I’ve defended the SCOTUS. I figured they were moving slowly and stealthily to build a perfectly crafted statement one way or the other. After this, I’m not so sure that is the case. They do appear to be ignoring the issue outright. We very well discover the Constitution is irrelevant at the present time; and that we live in a Federal Democracy rather than a Constitutional Republic. Maybe the New Order will be so kind as to chisel off a Constitutional Reservation for us somewhere ...

Is it possible that SCOTUS is waiting for the electoral vote? He isn’t president-elect until voted so by the EC.
I actually thought about pinging you, but then I thought that if you got pinged every time someone used that phrase it might be overwhelming, so I didn’t, in a misguided attempt at courtesy. I will correct my pinging behavior in the futhure.
Unfortunately, the Blago scandal --which could pay off, is being tainted by the tin-foil nuttiness of this one in that the media is combining the two scandals together and painting interest in them as one in the same. "Look at those crazy people out to get Obama. If it's not his birth certificate they're looking for, it is his ties to corrupt Chicago politics. They're all moonbats!"
